Hi all , im playing a 3 play escalation game with my group .

I wish to try a swarm based around having a decimators in the list , is this viable it should I go full swarm .

So maybe startup with 2 low level tie pilots to fit the allowance making me vunerable , then jumping in with a Vader decimators that can burn through small ships .

All experimental of course . Any ideas guys and girls ?

Depending on how many points you are playing, you may struggle to fit a satisfactory swarm in as well as a Decimator. Then again, a BlackCrack Tie is only 15 points and work very well in any number.

DeciVader is murder for Aces. BlackCracks are agile enough and cheap enough to take on most targets and Crack allows you to push an extra damage through when it counts. When your point levels start to increase, you can look at adding swarm-support pilots such as Howlrunner.

If you can tell us the point limits and increments for your group, we can probably give some better-tuned advice. But basically, DeciVader + a growing swarm should work well.

Add Ysanne Isard (4) to the decimator

Then adding 2 X academy pilots for the 90 game ( 83

then for the 120 (113)

"Omega Leader" (26) - TIE/FO Fighter

Juke (2), Comm Relay (3)

Then for 150 (148)

"Howlrunner" (18) - TIE Fighter

Mauler Mithel (17) - TIE Fighter

2 points spare , playing against a revel player who specialises in semi swarm lists and a scum player with a similar style .

If you know you are going to be facing other swarms then maybe an Academy Tie or 2 as a cheaper blocker would be useful. Nothing messes with enemy swarm coming into the Joust in close formation like a no-name pilot fresh out of the academy bumbling into their flight-path.

I could take all the names ties out and fit 2 extra academy pilots into the list ?
