Holy Cow X-Wing returns kids

huh. could be cool.

I am excited that with VR someone could create a way to play table top min games like x-wing and armada digitally that would be amazing.

Nintendo couldn't make the Virtual Boy a success, so Sony decided they'd have a go 20 years later?

I think it the we are out of ideas so lets try this new thing. Its the problem with 4k is what is going to be the next fad. Past that if done proper its going to be amazing.

Both 4k gaming and VR gaming are incredible. I have very little content to play for my Vive currently and still love it. Once the software catches up it's going to be unbelievable.

Well, it's a "Battlefront"-franchise game, so...expect little more than WASD movement and weapon-switching (IE., LucasArts X-Wing? Dead and buried!)

Also: HOLY GODS THE LENS FLARE, AAAAHHHHHH!!!!

I kind of hope this VR craze dies out... Largely because my wife wont let me fork out the money for it...

Last e3, Miamoto was spotted trying the Occulus rift.

there's 50/50 odds that nintendo started working on a new headset of their own in the past year just to host whatever wacky game the Man Who Made Mario (and LoZ, starfox, pikmen, and more) is coming up with.

After the Wii U, there is no way Nintendo is jumping in with VR like Sony and Microsoft is doing. The whole Xbone S and Scorpio just screams as a potential failure for Microsoft. And until the costs come down, there is no way people are jumping into VR.

Virtual Boy was an attempt at 3D. Not exactly the same thing.

DAMMIT.

IT HAD TO BE A BATTLEFRONT ADD ON.

Think of it as when your game is terrible it can only go up right ;-)

You're trying to make sence. This is Nintendo. Try again. :P

Not when it's PS4 only!

Fixed it for ya, but while we may never get X-wing VR  We still got X-wing minatures, :) , and that game has more fun and depth than any DLC EA can shove out. :D

I am just really fascinated to see how VR plays out. What games are worth $700-800?

NOT Battlefront.

Can't say it's *my* bag, but...if you're going to do it, you're going to do it THIS way...with cheaper hardware, more immersive/group experience, and better implementation...

I can be excited for both right :-)

So the Star Trek franchise FINALLY got on board with the Artemis bridge simulator idea? It's about time!

You still need VR but that's great. It is thus probably meant as a hook to get you to buy a later title but I'm okay with that. Can you imagine a Star Wars themed version of War Thunder? Total flash back to the old X-wing vs. TIE Fighter games. Yes please.

I'm afraid it won't be a Star Wars version of War Thunder but a VR version of Battlefront: EA "space" combat part, which is (IMO) terrible and makes Rogue Squadron games look like hardcore simulators.

Yeah.. 400 bucks, usd, not Canadian currency, means I won't be playing this ever.
