Time to watch Wolf's Rain again...

Too many feels. Won't rewatch.

Originally you erred in writing I used a double negative.

Secondly you inferred that I lied on my meaning of my post. Which I did not and I was trying to help with your reading comprehension.

and now you write "but I don't think I'm wrong even after reviewing it"

I would agree with you but, it would make us both wrong.

I recommend you stop digging now.

Just talked to someone at miniature market retail store and he said no official date yet but will be sometime in July. Just a sober word to keep expectations in check.

There are some people posting from countries where English is not their primary language. I for one enjoy the multi-international aspect and could really care less if every word is spelt correctly or if proper grammar is used. For example: Spelled vs. spelt

Just a bit of insight into an often used colloquialism; just something I see often and smile to myself. When one employs that they are usually saying they care so little they couldn't possible care any less. That being the case then most proper usage is 'I couldn't care less'. In your above comment by saying "could really care less" clearly implies that you do in fact ' care '. Think of it similar to a misused double negative; incorrectly applied it actually means the exact opposite of what is intended. Just sayin'
re·al·lyadverbadverb: really1. in actual fact, as opposed to what is said or imagined to be true or possible."so what really happened?"•used to add strength, sincerity, or seriousness to a statement or opinion."I really want to go"2. very; thoroughly."I think she's really great"synonyms: genuinely, truly, honestly; MoreYou are wrong on your second attempt also.
I wasn't trying to be snarky though I think you took it that way and I have no idea what you're now taking about in your last two posts. Simply put, you said that you could care less then repeated it in your next email. I agree that you said that, check my post, All I'm saying as a matter of ironic humor is that if you could care less then you do care. Most people who say 'I could care less' mean to say that they couldn't care less. That's all. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers but I don't think I'm wrong even after reviewing it. Take care, fly casual and have fun.

It's going to sting So BAD when you guys learn that as a living language literally every form that conveys the message is correct no matter how much it grates your ears!

I don't speak that.

There are a lot of barriers with communication. My original posting was about English as a second language but, there is also generational and cultural barriers. I must admit that I never thought there was a "Weird Al" barrier. :)

So... I really could care less about Imp Vets?

So... I really could care less about Imp Vets?

Blasphemy! I should smite you! Or something...

Australian retailers were informed, roughly an hour ago, by the main Australian FFG distributor, that the release date will be Thursday 30 June.

Blasphemy! I should smite you! Or something...

Wait no! I thought that mean I didn't... wait.. no... Imp Vets where are youuuuu?

I realise this may cause more grief, but as a dedicated grammar nerd, I feel honour bound to point out the incorrect use of infer...

To imply is to hint at something without stating it directly. To infer is to make an educated guess based on the information presented.

But, to paraphrase someone else, we all knew what you meant, so it's all good :)

Originally you erred in writing I used a double negative.

I did no such thing and I'm sorry you misread my meaning. I said "Think of it similar to..." Which is to say using a double negative is a similar example with no implication that you used it.

Secondly you implied that I lied on my meaning of my post. Which I did not and I was trying to help with your reading comprehension.

and now you write "but I don't think I'm wrong even after reviewing it"

I did not imply that you lied and I regret you have that impression. I honestly ask that you accept my apology for the misunderstanding.

My post was nothing more than making mention that many people misuse the phrase "I could care less". It appeared from your post you meant to say "I couldn't care less". As often as it is used, it is ironically humorous.

There was no intent or implication that you lied. That is a very personal reading of humorous post. If anything I suggested that you misused a common phrase. Whether you did or not is only known by you. But it still remains a commonly misused phrase whether you misused it or not.

If you're offended by this, I cannot help that. It was not my intention and I don't think I misspoke.

I hope this clears things up. If not well...

Good luck

Veterans was updated on 6/9/16 on FFG's "Upcoming" page. They're still on the boat. I'll consider us lucky if we get them by July.

I'm still hoping they are going for a global release this or next week. But either way they'll get my money  I'm looking forward to this expansion.

"I could care less" is an Americanism.

For more info, watch this;

My FLGS is saying the 23rd as of yesterday, and the manager there hasn't been wrong on a release date so far. A few days too late to be legal for our Regional unfortunately, but exciting stuff none the less. :)

That must be a really good siurce.

For example: Spelled vs. spelt

In American English, spelt primarily refers to the hardy wheat grown mostly in Europe, and the verb spell makes spelled in the past tense and as a past participle. In all other main varieties of English, spelt and spelled both work as the past tense and past participle of spell, at least where spell means to form words letter by letter or (with out) to make clear. Outside the U.S., the two forms are interchangeable in these uses, and both are common.

I never knew this and was taught either spelled or spelt was correct and I'm from the US. Does it really matter as long as you can understand the concept the writer is trying to convey? I know for a fact that I do not use perfect grammar when posting because it is suppose to be "talk amongst friends" verses a "college paper".

^^ Thank You Syn, I was going to read the whole thread before commenting but you summed it up nicely. This is a forum for International Gamer nerds, not a pre Collegiate entrance exam.

Except for Rogue.. you spell it Rouge and I will lose my ****.... Too many other games creeping in to let this one go.

2 weeks from the 9th is the 23rd, so there's a slim chance that when they updated the page they accidentally updated it to the same status instead of shipping now. But we won't know until the 23rd if that's what happened.

Or, you know, they updated it on purpose to show it's still on the boat (or in the warehouse).

That doesn't mean they won't post a release announcement this week or next and update it again.

That'd be unique. They've never updated to the same status before.

The most recent TIE Bomber reprint was listed as On The Boat for over 6 months then suddenly one day was no longer on the list at all, so they have skipped updates before, but until the day it was removed from the list the original on the boat date for the bomber never changed.

My game store has them and has confirmed they have been told to release them on the 23rd

I am in the UK

A game store I use rather than my game store would be more accurate.

Sorry, just have to get this off my chest.

Who gives two ***** how someone spells or misspell something. It has absolutely no impact on this post, which is about Imp Vets not grammer.

Take that crap to the "Off Topic" area where it belongs.

Half the responses on this topic have been about grammer not Vets, or even X Wing. Quit wasting people's time on a subject that doesn't belong here.

My next day to play Epic with friends is 6/25 so I hope it is out the 23rd.
