Gonzo ?

Can the gonzo carry 4 tie fo's?

Ugh. Double post. Me profusely sorry.

Yes it can. It's very confusing with the Gonzanti - FFG again, been clumsy and lazy with writing rules, messes up on how it works.

You need to use 1 Cargoslot to carry up to 4 same Ties. Gonzanti can carry 4 Ties, 4 interceptors, 4 Bombers and 4 Tie Advance. However it can't carry other Ties such as Phantom and Advance Prototype. If you play casual, ignore FFGs rule and play it as you like. Because seriously, it's a freaking cargoship fore any ties.

Also you need to carry 4 exact same ties, which I find it to be b*****. So again. Choose you own liking and play as how you like it.

When you drop a tie, they, ties, move the same as the normal. You could say the the ties startingposition is on Gonzanti rather then range 1.

This is really confusing for someone actually wanting a proper answer. If you're going to offer replies in the rules sub-forum, then make them actual "rules", not "choose your own liking and play as you like". That serves absolutely no purpose to the person asking the question. And what do you mean "you could say the TIE's starting position is on the Gozanti rather than Range 1"?

To deploy a TIE from the Gozanti, declare the front or rear guides and choose a manoeuvre on the docked ship's dial, then perform that manoeuvre from the declared guides on the Gozanti.

Also, there's nothing referencing "Range 1" anywhere, so where did you get that from?

Can the gonzo carry 4 tie fo's?

Short answer is "yes", but I can't find the source to confirm that. A while ago there was much debate over ship types and upgrade cards featuring those type names or part of those names. The end result was that TIE Fighters and TIE/fo Fighters were considered to be able to use anything that referred to TIE Fighters only. The FAQ entry for "Youngster" confirms this:

"Youngster" can use his ability in conjunction with TIE fighters as well as TIE/fo fighters.

This debate will probably resurface when the TIE/sf Fighter comes out, but I would assume it will get the same treatment as the TIE/fo Fighters.

On the reverse of that, the TIE/x1 title card states it's for "TIE Advanced only" and doesn't feature the word "Prototype" so can't be used by the TIE Advanced Prototype. Whereas the TIE/v1 title card states it's for "TIE Adv. Prototype only" and can only be used by TIE Advanced Prototypes not the older TIE Advanced.

I think it's important to re-iterate on the back of Parravon's input that the Tie/fo is valid but can't be intermixed with regular TIE fighters as Gonzati docked ships.

^^ Good point. :)

I'm just trying to picture in my head 4 Tie Punishers underneath the Gozanti..... ;)
