Since FFG throws X-Wing all the love when it comes to special events, it's up to me to bring some to IA. My FLGS is setting aside Saturday for Imperial Assault and I'm trying to put together a short mini-campaign to showcase one side of IA. To tie into the whole Father's Day theme, I want Vader to be central to the storyline while including Luke and Leia as much as possible. I've looked thru all of the campaign missions and grabbed all of the ones where the three appear. Now, I need to decide which will be used and in what order. I'd like to just have a simple 4 mission format where they are run in order and the XP/credits/influence mirrors what's done in both mini-campaigns.
Here are the mission choices I'm looking at using:
Homecoming: features Luke and Vader
Sympathy For The Rebellion: features Luke and Vader
Communication Breakdown: features Leia
Scouring of the Homestead: features Leia (sub in Vader for Dengar?)
Temptation: features Vader (only use if Daila in group)
Under Seige: features Vader
Dark Obsession: features Vader (and Luke... sort of)
Last Stand: features Vader
Cloud City's Secret: features Vader and Lando (going to let players sub in either Luke or Leia for Colt 45).
My biggest issue is that I'm not sure which to use and where.
Obviously Last Stand or Cloud City Secret are perfect for the final mission since they are Finale missions anyway. Part of me wonders if trying to include Leia us too much. Homecoming and Sympathy guarantee Luke and Vader face off so I really just have to add in one more besides the finale to call it good.
Thoughts on which will be best balanced at threat levels 3, 4, & 5?
