There's a long and rambling story about how this list came to be... But I won't bore you with that.
What I will say is that although I haven't had the chance to run this to a tournament yet, I have been able to fly it against a fairly decent cross-section of lists. So far it hasn't disappointed.
Kanan Jarrus (51 pts)
Ghost title
ion cannon turret
reinforced deflectors
Jan Ors
Recon specialist
Zeb Orellios (18 pts)
Phantom title
Jake Farrel (28 pts)
A-wing test pilot
Veteran instincts
Push the limit
Chardaan refit
Autothrusters
(Total 97 pts)
Basic doctrine for this list is that Kanan is the tank, and Jake is the flanker playing at being rebel soontir.
Kanan will go pretty much head to head with the enemy force, prioritizing any targets that might give Jake trouble in the late game. Jake will look for an angle of attack that exposes him to the least amount of fire, and will engage targets of opportunity as they present themselves. If all goes well Zeb will never have to undock.
The fun bit though is that because the two halves of the list are so radically different in their strengths and weaknesses (and can both move around quite well) you can gain quite a bit of advantage by withholding one from the engagement whilst the other moves in.
Decivader? Keep Jake at a safe distance & send the ghost to joust with it, you can very easily bring Jake into the fight when the time is right.
Lots of tlt's? Send Jake in first & make a slow approach with the ghost.
The only list that worries me slightly (that I haven't had the chance to line up a game against yet) is U-boats. Pretty much everything else I feel pretty confident against (depending on relative player skill of course)
