Custom Arkham Horror dice from Q Workshop

Hello,Arkham Horror fans out there.

I was just wondering if anyone has picked up the custom Arkham Horror dice from Q Workshop yet?

I just picked up four sets (20 dice total) from a hobby store in Livonia,MI.I actually bought all of the stock that they just got in today.I plan on picked up two more sets (10 more dice) so I have enough to run at Cons.

My opinion of the dice is quite high.They are very cool to look at,lightweight and roll very nicely in your hands.The downside to the dice,I think,is the price.You are looking at $2 per dice (Thats retail price) and I think that is kind of high.Even the woman that runs the hobby store thought that the price was high.

Tell me what you guys think if you have bought them.

I like to purchase all the collectables for games alike but these seem to do nothing for me...

I was all for buying the two pack figures released each month for the game in which I am gutted now that they have pulled them...sad.gif

They look a litle tacky (the number 3 looks like it is drawn by my 6 year old daughter) although this is perhaps what it should look like...not to sure?!?

I also find that I would have to stare at the dice a little longer to recognise the number shown with all the graffiti on them...

Sorry if I have upset anyone...Just my opinion...preocupado.gif

I agree with you; that's why so many of us (over 100+ players) bought over 2,500 custom dice from Chessex.

I bought a Cthulhu polyhedral set as my Q Workshop representatives in my dice pool. My conclusion is that they are too busy. It can take a few moments to realize what you've rolled, and that drags gameplay a bit. And they are pricey...so all I have is cons without enough pros. Sorry, FFG, but I'm sticking with my Chessex Customs with the Elder Sign on the 1.

I have not bought them yet. I originally planned on getting 3 of them or so (sets), but I convinced myself to only get one seeming how the price is a bit high, okay...very high, for 5 dice. I'll be sure to use these dice though on every roll :)
