Why settle?

I do have to say, it is a bit thematic. Many top players (the Duncan brothers primarily) play it exclusively, and the fact that it is so dominant in these players hands give it a sort of "Dark Side" feel to it. I hate it. I hate that it wins so often, and I hate that these players get even better by playing the same list over and over and over again and gain an even bigger advantage over the rest of us who can't stand to play the same list for more than 10 times. I can almost feel the hate flow through me...

I heard that one of them seriously crashed and burned in the first single elimination round, so the Palpatine-Ace haters can take comfort in that.

Rob Keiser was flying a Boba/Dengar build against Jeremy in the first elimination round. Boba and Dengar tag-teamed to wipe Fel off the board in the first round of shooting.

While I enjoy watching any top level meta list getting dismantled, I do my best to not revel in an individual players demise. The Howard brothers are fantastic players, and I'm nearly certain at least one of them will be in the top cut for worlds. But man, I really wish they would fly something else for once... haha.

I don't see the problem.

First, everyone should fly what they enjoy. Maybe they actually ENJOY palp aces? Aces is a style of play, and some people enjoy that style of play.

Second, palp aces is a good lost, but it's the player that makes the difference. There were plenty of palp aces (including the Howard variety) that DIDN'T make the cut.

Oh I have zero problem with the players, but I enjoy variety, so I would like to see things other than Palp Aces win. But certainly if anyone can claim Palp Aces as their own, the Howard brothers can.
