(PIC HEAVY) FRIENDLY MATCH! IMPERIALS vs SCUM

Reminder of my list:

The Inquisitor, PTL, Tie/v1, AT
Wampa
Lt. Colzet, Tie/x1, AC
OGP, Palpatine, E.Baffle, IonP.

Opponent's list:

Dengar, Deadeye, IonTorps, EM, K4, Unhinged, ID, P1 Title, Chimps

Binayre, Dead Man's

Binayre, Dead Man's

Binayre, Dead Man's

He got and kept initiative:

My deployment:

IMG_4322.jpg

Opponent's deployment:

IMG_4323.jpg

TURN 1:

I play my usual bumping games.

IMG_4325.jpg

Pirates move 4S and focus. My Inquisitor moved 5S, boosted, and had to BR forward to be in range of the closest pirate.

IMG_4326.jpg

Dengar turns left. Overview:

IMG_4327.jpg

Inquisitor gets 2 hits and a blank, which I Palp to a crit

IMG_4328.jpg

Pirate #40 loses one shield and is forced to spend his focus.

IMG_4329.jpg

Pirates #40 and #50 do nothing in return.

TURN 2:

Pirates close in on my inq, but #50 bumps #40.

IMG_4330.jpg

I move fast to go for Dengar, hoping he'll turn towards my Inquisitor.

IMG_4332.jpg

I move 3S with inq, BRd and Boosted, to get out of all the pirates' arcs.

IMG_4333.jpg

Dengar didn't fall for the bait and moved forward. He TLs Wampa thanks to the K4 Security droid and focuses.

IMG_4334.jpg

He ends up in R1 by a hair's width! So he poured the torps on the Shuttle. 2 shields off the Shuttle, and Ion tokens for everyone!

IMG_4335.jpg

I decide to "suicide" Wampa attacking Dengar, so that Colzet and the Shuttle can fire without suffering the "overwatch".

Wampa deals a damage card to Dengar, but shortly dies to Dengar's "payback".

IMG_4336.jpg

Both Colzet and the shuttle take a shield off Dengar. So in the end I traded 3 dmg for another 3 dmg.

IMG_4337.jpg

IMG_4338.jpg

TO BE CONTINUED...

TURN 3:

My opponent manages to get all 3 pirates on the same debris! He aimed for the shuttle, but slightly misjudged his movements, and they start bumping each other.

IMG_4339.jpg

Pirate #40 also loses his last shield in the process!

IMG_4340.jpg

Colzet, who was Ion'd, moves 1S and TLs Dengar

IMG_4341.jpg

Shuttle moves 3S and TLs pirate 40 to try and finish him before he can shoot.

IMG_4342.jpg

Inq turns 1 left, boosts, and TLs pirate #52.

IMG_4343.jpg

Dengar, realizing he would bump the shuttle and end up on debris, uses IDs.

IMG_4344.jpg

Dengar shoots Colzet, but without dice mods, fails to do any damage. Inq leaves pirate #52 on 2 hull. Colzet does 2 damage with the AC but Dengar saves both.

The shuttle tries to kill #40, to deal one damage to nearby units. Pirate #40 is destroyed, #52 is left on its last hull, and #50 loses a shield.

IMG_4345.jpg

IMG_4347.jpg

The shuttle loses a shield as well.

IMG_4346.jpg

Colzet flips Dengar's damage card...

IMG_4348.jpg

Another Stress for Dengar.

IMG_4349.jpg

TURN 4:

Both pirates have to fly through debris again, so they are still stressed. They take no damage.

IMG_4350.jpg

Colzet banks 1 right and TLs Dengar again for more "stress".

IMG_4351.jpg

Shuttle does 3S to get away. Inq banks 1, TLs, evades, and focuses.

IMG_4352.jpg

Dengar moves out of Colzet's arc doing a green move, and TLs him thanx to K4.

IMG_4354.jpg

Dengar fires Colzet, I blank, blank, eye, and lose both shields and 1 hull.

IMG_4355.jpg

Inq gets 2 hits and Palp's crit on pirate #50.

IMG_4356.jpg

Pirate #50 evades 1, so he loses a shield and suffers a crit. It's the "receive one stress" one, same as Dengar.

IMG_4357.jpg

So another stress token for pirate #50!

IMG_4358.jpg

Colzet flips Dengar 's card for another stress.

IMG_4359.jpg

TO BE CONTINUED...

TURN 5:

Pirate #50 does it again!

IMG_4361.jpg

And #52 says why not...?

IMG_4362.jpg

Colzet moves 2 or 3S to get behind the debris, and TLs Dengar again for more "stress control".

IMG_4363.jpg

Inq turned to Dengar, TLd and evaded. Dengar banked left, doing a green move, but keeping the 2 stresses as he went through debris.

IMG_4364.jpg

Thanks to K4, he TLs Colzet. My shuttle had turned 2 left and kept the stress to last a bit longer.

IMG_4365.jpg

Dengar gets his 3 hits on Colzet, and I only evade 1, so I have to use Palp to survive on 1 hull. The shot wasn't obstructed by a hair's width.

IMG_4366.jpg

Inq finally kills pirate #52.

IMG_4367.jpg

This also means Dengar loses one shield thanks to Dead man's switch!

IMG_4368.jpg

Colzet fires Dengar, and with his AC plinks Dengar's last shield.

IMG_4369.jpg

As Dengar already has 2 Stress tokens, I decide not to flip his card with Colzet this time.

TURN 6:

Pirate #50 flies away, and is forced to go through debris again. We must have broken a guinness record or something today.

IMG_4370.jpg

The shuttle does 1bank to the left to start turning around. Colzet moves 2S and evades.

Inq turns 1 left and barely doesn't bump. I TL Dengar, evade, and Focus.

IMG_4371.jpg

Dengar hard turns 1 to the left, Getting Colzet in his front arc.

IMG_4373.jpg

As Colzet is in R1 of Dengar, he can't use the torps. He fires 4 dice, hitting 3 times. Finally, Colzet gets more than 1 evade (2 exactly), and by spending the evade token I survive!

Inq gets 2 hits and Palps a crit on Dengar.

IMG_4374.jpg

Dengar evades one, and receives 1 damage and 1 crit. Stunned pilot!

IMG_4375.jpg

Now Colzet flips one of the 2 cards randomly, and it's the Stress again!

IMG_4376.jpg

To be continued...

TURN 7:

Lonely Pirate starts doing greens.

IMG_4377.jpg

Shuttle turns 2 to the left again. This time I use EB for a TL.

IMG_4378.jpg

Colzet does a 5S towards the pirate and evades. As I'm unable to turn the Inq on Dengar without bumping, I also go for the pirate

Dengar does a 3 bank to the right, getting out of the Shuttle's arc, and TLs Colzet to try to finish him up.

IMG_4379.jpg

Overview:

IMG_4380.jpg

Dengar gets 3 dmg on Colzet, I evade one, spend the evade token, and use Palp, to survive another day!

Inq gets 2 dmg on the pirate, who is standing on 1 hull. He defends with 2, and double evades.

Colzet then uses AC for another 2 dmg. He double evades as well! I curse the dice gods, but then my opponent points out Colzet is in R1, and would have died because of the dead man's switch!

TURN 8:

Pirate does 2S, to try to keep Colzet in R1 of him, or even make him bump, clearing 1 stress as well.

IMG_4382.jpg

Shuttle does 1 bank to avoid debris and clear stress. Colzet does a 3 turn left and evades.

Inq decides to turn to Dengar and try to finish him.

IMG_4383.jpg

Dengar does 1 turn left, and BRs out of Inq's range, but is as well out of the Shuttle's range!

IMG_4384.jpg

The pirate fires Colzet, but I use Palp and evade all damage.

At the beginning of the end phase, Colzet flips one of Dengar's 2 damage cards... Will it be the stress one again? Nope, damaged engine this time.

IMG_4385.jpg

TURN 9:

The pirate bumps Colzet, but it's Finally stressless!

IMG_4386.jpg

The Shuttle does a 3 bank to run away from Dengar.

IMG_4387.jpg

Inquisitor does 4S, and tokens up to finish Dengar.

IMG_4389.jpg

Dengar's turns are now red, so he banks towards the shuttle, and focuses, to try to fire the torps on the shuttle, but is out of front arc by a hair's width. So Dengar goes for the Inquisitor, and I lose one shield.

Inquisitor then deals 3 damage, and Dengar only evades one, so he dies.

IMG_4390.jpg

Colzet, who had K-turned 4, staying out of R1, shoots and uses AC to get the last damage on the pirate.

IMG_4391.jpg

I've lost half points on the Shuttle, and Wampa. Inq has lost 1 shield, and Colzet is on 1 hull.

IMG_4393.jpg

VICTORY for the Empire 170-30!!!

Edited by RoockieBoy

Finally had a chance to try the list in a tournament! Sadly, we were only 7 players.

There were 3 imperials, 3 rebels and I was the only Scum player. I played:

Torkil, Dengar, TLT, Cloak, Stygium

Kaa'to, AM, Thread tracers, chips

TPV, AM, Title, HLC

TPV, AM, Title, Mangler

100p

1st round:

Biggs, R4-D6, IA

Braylen, Tactician, Alliance Overhaul

Rebel Operative, TLT, Chopper

Rebel Operative, TLT

Not a good list to start with. Lots of stress-dealing hurts my Mindlinks.

We slow roll for a couple turns and finally engage. I move Torkil in position (R2 in the middle) and cloak+Stygium. With all my other guns on Biggs at R3 I'm able to hit him with the tracers, and leave him hanging on 1 hull and no astromech.

I have great green rolls and suffer no damage in return.

Next turn I manage to get Biggs in arc of both Scyks and the Z again and he goes poof. I also take all of Braylen's shields. The enemy focuses on the HLsCyk, who lives on 1 hull though.

Next turn I try to save the HLsCyk by running away, as he's worth 27p and Biggs is 26. I leave Braylen on 2 hull. Luckily the HLsCyk is far away and safe this turn, so he focuses on the mangler scyk, but I roll well and only lose the shield.

Time is called and I finally bring Braylen down, and both Hawks aren't able to TLT the wounded scyk through 3 greens with focus evade. I win.

My dice were good, his... not so much.

2nd round:

Kyle, Adapt, TLT, Jan Ors, Moldy Crow

Biggs, R4-D6, IA

Lothal Rebel, FCS, ABT, Hera, Zeb, TJ

2nd round I play another rebel list which had just stomped my buddy's Palp Aces (Soontir/Carnor/Palp).

I get too confident thinking I could kill Biggs as easily as in the first game but not at all. Between Biggs' focus, the evade from Kyle+Jan Ors, the extra agility from TJ, and prettry good greens, that Biggs proved unkillable! I'm barely able to take 2 shields off him, in exchange from Kaa'to.

Next turn I surprise him with an aggressive decloak and he bumps Torkil with the Lothal Rebel, but both Biggs and Kyle miss the Lothal's blockade by a hair's width, which would have been huge!

I lose the HLsCyk next turn and leave Biggs on 2 hull but no astromech. I also take 4 shields off the Lothal Rebel. Next turn I lose the mangler scyk, but Biggs just won't die!

A few turns later I'm able to bring the Lothal Rebel down to half health, and Biggs is still on 1 hull. Next turn Torkil gets PS killed by a token less Biggs as I blank my 3 greens even though I had a focus, and I'm unable to TLT him to death due to being PS3 (I had to PS0 Kyle to have a chance to survive).

It seemed I had spent all my good luck on the 1st round, and my opponent rolled above average all the time. But I think my main mistake was to get too confident thinking I could kill Biggs soon. It just wasn't meant to be!

3rd round:

Corran, VI, FCS, R2D2

Dash, PTL, Kyle, HLC, EU, Outrider

The good ole' Super Dash! I felt confident going into this match as I was going to play one of my best pals, and we had played a game last week, with me taking the upper hand. He plays Dash quite well, but he doesn't seem to get the best of Corran, who usually dies first.

First combat phase goes well for me as Only Dash is in range. He gets all 4 hits on Kaa'to thanks to his TL and Focus from Kyle, but I only lose 2 shields on Kaa'to as I had a focus from AM and had stolen an evade from the furthest Scyk. Only Torkil and Kaa'to are in range of Dash. Kaa'to does nothing (I didn't want to fire the tracers) but the TLT strips 2 shields.

Next turn I think Dash is gonna fly past me and try to come from behind so I try to get Corran. Between Dash and Corran Kaa'to dies (I stole another evade from a scyk so he needed both ships to finish him). But Corran loses all his shields.

Next turn I anticipate Corran's movement and he ends up in a bad spot, but regens a shield. Dash hurts the HWK leaving it on 2 hull but I made Corran PS0, and kill him before he can fire back.

Next turn I cloak with Torkil to try to survive, and also try to get on Dash's donut hole. I succeed, so Dash had to go for the scyks. He does 2 damage to the HLsCyk, but I strip him off his shields.

Next turn I decloak in front and do 1 straight, blocking all his one speed greens. (We were near the board edge so no right moves). He bumps and I make him PS0, so the Scyks leave him with 3 hull left and a major hull breach crit, but the HLsCyk is left hanging on 1 hull.

Next turn I also try to block him but a 4s clears it. In order to avoid the HLsCyk, he boosts+BR's out, and inside my TLT donut hole, but is very very close to the board edge. The mangler scyk loses the shield an one hull, but I leave Dash on 1h. Next turn he tries a 1 bank but flies off the board. I let him change it to a 1 hard which bumps Torkil, and I fail to kill him as he gets 4 out of 4 evades! He even kills my HLsCyk!

Next turn I block him again and between the mangler and the TLT Dash is done.

Only one guy went 3-0, and 3 others went 2-1. My palp aces buddy was winning his match against the guy I had won my 1st round but not by a big margin so I guessed I'd be 3rd. But suddenly his opponent decided to concede due to some bad rolls, giving my buddy a 200-0 and I lost my 3rd place by 4MOV! Haha!

It was nice to get back in the tournament scene, even though it was such a small one. Let's see if I can make it to some more tournaments before my little girl is born (January) and all my hobby time goes poof...

Happy flying!

Played 2 more games on tuesday.

A reminder of my actual list:

Torkil, TLT, Dengar, Cloak, Stygium

Kaa'to, AM, xx-23 tracers, chips

TPV, AM, Title, HLC

TPV, AM, Title, Mangler

1st Vs Kanan/Biggs/Kyle

Kanan, ABT, Hera, Zeb

Kyle, Adapt, Jan Ors, TLT, Moldy

Biggs, R4-D6, IA

We set up for a joust, and in the first combat phase I was able to get all guns except torkil on Kanan, as Biggs was beyond R3. I fired the tracers on Kanan, so both Scyks fired full modded shots at the Ghost, stripping all his shields. Torkil's TLT had to target Biggs. I suffered little damage in return thanks to Kyle 's TLT being out of range, and Kanan firing unmodified. (He spent his focus to make me roll less attack dice).

Next turn I flew away with the HWK and I didn't cloak, as I never expected a hard turn towards him from the ghost (I thought a 5k was a "better" and more obvious choice). This made the ghost fire a 5 dice attack on Torkil. All my ships left Biggs hanging on 1 hull, after triggering the astromech. Biggs 2 evades on the 2 dice mangler attack (1 less die cause of kanan) was very lucky for him, and avoided his death.

Kanna fired the 5 unmodified dice on Torkil, getting 4 hits and a crit. Y had 2 evade dice and an eye, but I blanked out, and Torkil died. Just like that.

Next turn I killed Biggs with Kaa'to at R1, and stripped Kyle's shield. The ghost did a 5k and was out of that combat round. My mangler scyk lost another hull.

Next turn I managed to get all guns on Kanan, and I left him on 5 hull, but my mangler died. Kaa'to bit the dust a turn later, but he got one hit on kyle, who was now on 2 hull.

Undamaged HLsCyk danced for a couple turns trying to get into Kyle's donut hole while avoiding Kanan. With 10 minutes left I was able to get a R1 shot on Kyle, and finish him, while losing a hull. That gave me the upper hand.

Last rounds it was a 5 hull ghost vs a 2 hull HLsCyk. It took me a while to engage him and when I finally did, I got 4 unmodified hits on Kanan, while I triple evaded his shots.

Last turn we bumped head on and I evaded his 2 hits, while getting 3 hits on the Ghost, finishing it. Awesome game! My opponent's dice were hot all game, and mine were just average, but the last two turns were brutal for me as I evaded 5 out of 6 greens, avoiding all damage, while getting lots of hits with my unmodified reds.

2nd game my opponent switched his list

Asajj, PTL, Latts, Gyroscopic, Glitter

Bossk, Adapt, HLC, Dengar, Zuckuss, Gunner, Glitter, Maneuvering fins

It was his first time flying any of those 2 ships, but he's been playing X-Wing for a lot longer than me. In fact, he's taught me how to play the game.

I thought Bossk would be a lot easier to deal with than Asajj for the end game, so I focused on taking down Asajj asap.

I went into the first combat very optimistic, as I had the chance to put maximum damage on her with a TL+Focus HLC, plus a TL+Focus Mangler cannon. But heck no, Assaj stressed all my mindlinked ships, then she hit the HLsCyk with 2 hits and a crit, but I rolled well, (2 evades, 1 focus) and I decided to lose the HLsCyk's shield to save the focus for the attack. Bossk was brought down to PS0 by a cloaked Torkil so he fired last. The HLsCyk did 4 damage to Asajj, but she evaded 2, using the evade token and my stress. Then the Mangler Scyk did a hit and a crit, and Asajj evaded one, and took my stress for the other one. So I only took two shields off her. Bossk then Zuckuss'd the HLsCyk to death.

The rest of my ships started blowing up and soon it was a full health Torkil vs Shield-less Assajj, and a 3 shield 6 hull Bossk. I danced around as best as I could, trying to stay at R3 of Asajj to avoid the stress, but as soon as I got Bossk down to half health he ran away. I was able to bring Asajj to 5 hull before Torkil got blown up, so I got half points on both ships. All this in 35'.

After the game I was feeling I couldn't beat a list like that, or at least I didn't know how. And I even think his list wasn't being exploited to its maximum! We talked about tweaking it removing gunner (was a waste of points. It never triggered). I suggested him to drop gunner for 4-lom, and put ID instead of glitterstim on bossk. With the extra points he could put the title on the lancer and even a 2nd glitter on Asajj. Or maybe even EU!

Whay do you guys think? Do I stand a chance with my list? Should I go for Bossk first?

Congrats for getting this far!

Went to another small tournament on Friday. Only six players showed up and all prizes would be given randomly. Very casual. Really liked it.

My list:

Torkil Mux, TLT, Dengar, Cloak, Stygium

Kaa'to, Attani, xx-23 tracers, Chips

TPV, Attani, Heavy Scyk, HLC

TPV, Attani, Heavy Scyk, Mangler

100p

1st Round: Poe/Norra/Sabine

Poe (PS8), Adapt, R5-P9, AT

Norra, PTL, Title, C3P0, BB8,

Sabine, PTL, ABT, IA

I decided to give him the initiative, as I didn't want Sabine to arc dodge me. It turned out great, as she didn't know where I would end up, and I caught her in a bad spot on the first engagement. Norra was way too far, and Poe only had an obstructed shot on one Scyk, or on a cloaked+evade Torkil. Luckily for my opponent, the tracers failed to hit Sabine, but at least she had to spend the evade and focus tokens. The HLsCyk failed as well, as I only got 2 hits after using my focus. Sabine got another evade so only lost 1 shield. The mangler got hit/crit, and sabine finally blanked, but the crit was nothing too important. Even though she was PS0, she was able to return fire, and hurt the Mangler Scyk, who had lost one shield to Poe previously. Next turn Torkil decloaked and got out of the furball. Sabine blocked me very well, and both Kaa'to and the HLsCyk bumped into her. Poe and Norra killed the mangler scyk as I blanked my 3 greens with focus, but I was able to get 3 shields off Norra with Kaa'to and the HLsCyk. Torkil finished Sabine with the TLT. Next turn Poe K-Turned behind me, but I was able to get a good position with a 5k from the HLsCyk and I hit him really hard, leaving him on 1 hull. He died next turn.

Norra took a while, but I was able to finish her with the HLsCyk and Torkil, while Kaa'to was on 1 hull getting focuses for the M3a.

Win: 176-24

2nd Round: Autodash/Norra

Dash, PTL, HLC, Outrider, Kanan, EU, Prockets

Norra, PTL, R2D2, Nien Nunb, V. Thrusters, Title

This guy totally outplayed me. He was able to stay at R3 of Torkil all the time, so I wasn't able to push him down to PS0, and he focused fire very well, killing the HLsCyk first round before having a chance to fire, and the mangler scyk a few rounds later. I focused on Dash and was able to finally kill him with the TLT with 15' still on the clock. I tried to bring Norra down but realised it was impossible with her regen, and she was rolling pretty hot! I was winning on points but I was being cornered and Torkil finally died when I blanked my 5 greens (4 blanks and 1 focus) even though I had an evade token. Kaa'to followed soon after.

Loss: 139-61

Below: Torkil and Kaa'to try in vain to punch through Norra's defences...

IMG_7771.JPG

Round 3: Fenn/Old Teroch/Manaroo

Fenn Rau, Fearlesness, Title, AT

Old Teroch, VI, Title, AT

Manaroo, PTL, Bmst

The first engagement was at R3, so I went for Manaroo first (no autothrusters), and tried to get the alpha strike on her, but the tracers failed me (only 2 hits with focus+chips) and she double evaded. I was able to take 3 shields off her with both Scyks while only losing 1 shield on the Mangler Scyk to Fenn (PS0), Teroch and Manaroo. Not a bad start.

IMG_7773.JPG

Next round I set a block on Manaroo with Torkil's decloak+2 bank, and a block on Fenn with my wounded Scyk, while doing a 1 bank with the HLsCyk to go slow towards them.

It all worked perfectly. Manaroo bumped. Fenn bumped the Scyk, and Teroch bumped Fenn. I brought Teroch down to PS0 and killed him with the TLT before he could fire. It was pretty cool to see Teroch strip my focus from the Mangler scyk, only to have Kaa'to steal another focus from the other scyk, triggering Attani again, and both scyks getting their focuses back.

IMG_7775.JPG

IMG_7774.JPG

A few turns later I caught Fenn in Torkil's R1-2 of doom and he exploded before he could fire back. Time was called and Manaroo escaped on 1 hull. Y had 3 wounded ships, but didn't lose a single one.

Nobody was undefeated, as the Top 4 players had 2-1 records, and I finally placed 2nd. We all got some goodies so good times...

Wow pics are huge! Anyboy knows how to fix them?

I was able to get 4 games with my new brobots list, and I really liked it!

My Thin Attani Brobots with Kaa'to:

IGb, AM, FCS, Ion Cannon, Title

IGc, AM, FCS, Ion Cannon, Title

Kaa'to, AM

100p

1st game vs Vessery/Countess/Zeta Leader (Friendly match)

Won easily as my opponent didn't expect me to rush forward so fast, and I caught both defenders with Ions while they were facing the wrong way, so Vessery couldn't k turn and he never got a shot. The Countess finally K turned, but I was able to ion her, and I bumped one IG with the ioned countess several times to stay still while the other IG bumped the back of his bro, so one could ion Vessery while the other hurt the tokenless Countess. Several turns later I killed all his ships and I didn't lose any points.

On Saturday I went to a 16 player tournament, and decided to try the list in a more competitive environment.

1st game vs Rebels:

Jake, VI, PTL, AT, Prockets, Title

Warden k-wing, 2 prox mines, em, sabine, AdSlam

2 Bandits with Concussion missiles, Chips

He deployed the K and the Zs on his right, and Jake on his left. I deployed the brobots on the middle, but closer to my right. I was able to catch a stressed jake at R3 and ion him, plus both his shields.

Next turn the k wing slammed and blocked one IG so I wasn't able to get arc and kill jake, but I ion'd him and left him on 1 hull with the other IG. The Zs closed in fast, and one got his missile off. I lost 2 shields on B.

Next turn Jake died, but B ate a prox mine and I rolled hit, hit, blank, so 3 dmg with sabine. The other z also did some damage, so B was hangin' on 2 hull. Next turn one Z died, but B ate another hit, hit, eye prox mine and went poof. Next turn the other Z died, but Kaa'to lost both shields and received the -1 agility crit.

Next turn kaa'to died, and the K lost 3 shields. I was able to avoid the 4th and last prox mine, and tried to catch the fleeing K wing, but lost to time, as my IG had lost all his shields to the 3rd mine (rolling another hit, crit, blank). Not too lucky with the mine rolls.

2nd match vs Rebels:

Dash, HLC, PTL, C3P0, Title

Corran, LW, FCS, R2-F2, EI

Not the best of Dash/Corran's lists, but still scary with that HLC. I approached fast towards Corran, dash came fast as well. Corran BR'd into R1 of IGB to get out of C's arc, but had no modifiers. Still, he got all 4 hits! I had an eye but blanked out pretty badly. I was able to evade Dash's shots, but when Corran double tapped, he got 3 hits and a crit! I only evaded one and the crit was... you guessed right... A direct hit, killing IGB in 2 lucky rolls. Uphill battle from there, but after a few turns I was able to get Corran in a bad spot, and IGC brought him down to 1 hp, and Kaa'to did the last damage. I chased Dash and tried to corner him, and he got too close to the board edge, so I saw my chance to get him his 2nd ion (he had one from the first engagement). He missed the board edge by a hair's width, but there was no movement he could do next turn to keep him from flying off so I won.

3rd match vs Scum

Basic HWK, ABT, RecSpec, Moldy

4-Lom, VI, FCS, Zuckuss

Boba, VI, Dengar

I rushed fast as usual and caught the HWK at R3, getting 2 damage with the ions. Boba and 4-lom didn't have a shot. Next turn I lined a R1 shot on the HWK and killed it, but 4-Lom stressed all my ships, and I had to run away to be able to turn around well.

I finally K turned and Ion'd 4-lom, making him bump me next turn so he didn't have a shot, and I could focus on boba. I killed boba while 4-lom tried to evade my blocks, but I was able to fly him off the board with Ions just when time was called.

4th place for me and had lots of fun with the list. Let's see if I can play more games with it this week.

RoockieBoy's Non-Top-Rebel-List

Hi guys! After the Regional and Open season, and having played RoockieTTANI (check the links in the first post) for like 70 games I decided to give my rebels a try. I've played Miranda/Corran, PHeaver's list, Nathan Eide's list, etc, and honestly didn't do very well, but I really liked Corran on top of every other pilot, even though he died in most of my games. So I decided to try something different on him. Probably not a very top build, but I think I have a lot of Corran's weaknesses covered. Here's the list:

- Ahsoka Tano (19) - TIE Fighter: Veteran Instincts (1), Captured TIE (1)

- Corran Horn (47) - E-Wing: Expertise (4), R5-P9 (3), Fire Control System (2), Hull Upgrade (3)

- Kyle Katarn (34) - HWK-290: VI (1), Twin Laser Turret (6), Recon Specialist (3), Moldy Crow (3)

100p

I've written a post in my blog (sorry, it's in Spanish), explaining the synergies of the squad and all the litte tricks, so I won't write much here. I'll just cover a few experiences gathered from my 10 games played so far. Right now I'm 7-3 with the list. Most games were casual, having played only one tournament (Went 3-0, but got 2nd place due to MOV). So far I've beaten:

  • Dengar/Tel (Lost Expertise first round thanx to Boba crew, but finally won. Corran survived).
  • QD/BD/OL (Both Tie/sf were PS9 so Ahsoka had a hard time, but I managed to pull a win. Got an out of arc R1 double tap on BD getting 3 and 3 hits, only to see my opponent roll 3 and 3 natural evades... Last turn Ahsoka sacrificed herself to give a 1 hull-PS0 Corran a BR action in the Combat phase to get out of BD's arc. Ahsoka died but I won on points. Corran survived)
  • BD/Vader/Starkiller (BD and Vader out PSd Ahsoka, so it was hard. Managed to win on time with all my ships really hurt, and Starkiller destroyed. We played it out to see what would have happened and 2 direct hits later, Corran and Kyle had bit the dust. Corran survived).
  • Miranda/Dash (Got lucky with Ahsoka eating 2 of the 3 Cluster mine tokens, but only rolling hit, blank, blank, blank. Miranda was hit hard by Ahsoka at R1, Corran Double Tap and Kyle's TLT. She died next turn, but took Ahsoka with her. Dash killed Kyle but wasn't a match for Corran. Corran survived)
  • QD/Vess/bomber (Vess got 5/6 evades plus his evade token when Corran Double-tapped at R1. Luckily I killed him a few rounds after. Kyle died but Corran took out QD. Corran survived)
  • QD/BD/Maarek (Tie Adv.) (Corran rolled 5/9 evades first round, only losing a shield, which was then recovered by R5-P9. Brutal. Maarek died first round, unable to fire the prockets, and BD died last round. I lost kyle, and Ahsoka was on 1 hull. Corran survived).
  • Palob/2x Protectorates/Kaa'to (Easy day for Ahsoka to do her stuff. Corran survived, and was MVP, taking out Palob, and 2 protectorates).

And I've lost to:

  • Asajj/Bossk (Kyle tried to bump Bossk to avoid being fired but ended at R1 and died in one round. Corran took half points on Asajj and when time was up I had to do 1 more damage to Bossk to get half points on him and win, or I'd lose, but Corran had already double tapped, so Ahsoka had to do it. She did it, putting me on the lead, but Bossk killed her right after that. So close match! Corran survived!)
  • BD/Vader/Starkiller (I had it in the bag, with a 3 health PS9 BD vs 2 hull-3 shields Corran. With less than 10 minutes on the clock I was winning on points. I should have run away but it was a casual game so I went "all in" through a rock, lost a shield, got no action, and BD was able to BR out of my arc and set a R1 rear arc shot. He got Hit, crit and added a crit. I lost both shields and the crit was... you guessed it, Direct Hit! Funny loss!
  • QD/BD/OL (VERY HOT dice for my opponent, like 4/4 evades TWICE!!! He also got 3/3 evades three times. I only got 3/3 evades once, needing only 2... His attacks were also top, NEVER getting 2 blanks in the first roll, and only one blank in a couple rounds. Crit, hit, eyeball were his most common roll. Only Ahsoka was alive when I conceded. Funny part is we shared his dice in the rematch and though his rolls were still pretty hot, mine bumped up a little and I pulled out a win).

Most of my games were really close, with lots of epic stuff happening. I'll probably take the list to the Store Championships and see how it goes.

Cheers!

Hi all! Back with a new batrep. Played Rd 2 of the FLGS League against Lok Revenant/Asajj/Sunny Bounder with my Poetensity/Nym list.

My opponent's list

FullSizeRender+%25282%2529.jpg

Rocks were mostly clustered in the middle. I rushed with Poe to see if I could catch Sunny if he went fast. He turned, no no shot. The Lok Revenant got 3 hits on Poe with the synced turret, and I decided to lose a shield instead of spending the evade.

IMG_2220.JPG

Next turn I select a 4s with Nym to try to get a 5 die cruise missile. Poe Turns on the Lok Revenant, who disengages. As asajj comes in fast, I decide to do an AS boost with Nym, and get out of there. Poe takes 2 shields off the scurrg.

IMG_2221.JPG

Poe continues to pursue the scurrg and ends up R1 behind. Asajj and Sunny go after Nym, who launches a 4 die Cruise on Sunny. I get hit, hit, hit, crit after the re-rolls. Sunny gets evade, focus, focus so only loses a shield. Asajj does 2 damage, and Sunny gets hit, hit, and adds another hit. So I lose 4 shields on Nym. Poe took all shields off the Scurrg and a blinded pilot crit, so no turret shot.

IMG_2222.JPG

A few turns later Poe has almost killed the Scurrg, and Nym has done 1 more damage to Sunny, and taken 3 shields off Asajj with the bomblets and TLT. Sunny gets his shield back though.

IMG_2224.JPG

Poe finally kills the Lok Revenant, and Nym does 2 more damage onto Asajj, who is now on half points, but Nym suffers a direct hit and is left on one hull!

Nym holds on for another turn as I use AS to bump Asajj, while throwing a bomblet, but I end up in her mobile arc, so I get stressed. One bomblet goes off, leaving Asajj on 4 hull. TLT can't hit Sunny. Poe is still far. Next turn Nym dies, but does 2 more damage on Asajj, who is hanging on 2 hull. Next turn Poe misses, and a focused Sunny gets 2 eyeballs, so ends up with 3 hits (It happened 3 of the 4 times Sunny shot, was amazing). Poe blanks and I lose all my shields, so I have to run away for a bit.

IMG_2228.JPG

Last shot of the game due to time and I'm back at full health and have an evade token, but Sunny makes me bump so I end up at R2 and I'm unable to kill Asajj, even though she suffers a crit (PS 0 crit).

IMG_2229.JPG

Asajj survives on 1 hull, and Sunny on 2.

IMG_2231.JPG

Poe is at full health.

I win 60-50 a very fun match.

Cheers!
