Listen up, nerds. It's Friday night, and y'all don't have anything going on right? Us either! That's why Admiral Steven will be streaming on twitch Soon. On the Agenda? Testing out Flotillas. Make sure to subscribe over at http://www.twitch.tv/wwpdsteven so you can get notified when we go live!
Streaming tonight! Why not? It's Friday!
All. Ready. There.
You're definitely a bit too early (nothing new!) but shouldn't be more than an hour.
Eh, not like I've got any better place to be.
Waiting for my app notification. . .
7:15ish EST. 'Bout an hour!
Please Run 400 points of Y-wings
1200pt Game? I think not. ![]()
C'mon! It's the weekend. Plenty of time to get that 1200 point game in. The real question is, does anyone actually have 400 points of Y-wings?!
Well, they're already proxying Flotillas tonight, so proxing Y-Wings would be no biggie ![]()
Well I've been wrestling with Twitch for a half hour or so. For some reason my broadcast software shows that it's working, but Twitch is still saying I am offline. No idea.
We will record the game and post on youtube.
S'cool, s'cool...
... I'll just...
y'know...
... wander back to the Rules Forum and sit quietly.
Sorry guys, it didn't really pan out! Twitch was screwy. But here is the video!
You actually started streaming towards the end.
How much of the game did you get to catch? the battle LOOKED freakin' awesome.
Takeaways from me:
*Suppressor is awesome
*Slicer Tools is awesome
*Bomber Command + Torryn Far + X-Wings are awesome
Did you catch Elder sign? That game is my jam.
I caught none of it. I will have to watch the video. It seems like an interesting outcome though
Great watching!
Certainly provides an argument for defence liaisons!!!
- I dont think Torryn affects her own ship?
- If you scatter, does the APT crit still go off? I thought if you cancelled all attack dice the attack would end straight up, similar to if you evaded the only crit result?

Very good question but I am pretty sure the APTs go off. You declare your defense tokens and then the critical affects of the APTs are applied and then you resolve the defense tokens. But I am not 100% on the critical effect triggering if the entire attack is cancelled.

Scatter probably goes off right at the same time an evade would, cancelling dice and therefore any crit face.
Good question on Scatter. I assumed it was like other defense tokens where you declare to spend it, and then it triggers after crit effects... but "evade" is explicitly outside of that timing.
To be honest, I'm not sure!
You're right on Torryn- I didn't have a printout handy! My bad!
After re-reading it more closely, I think the dice get canceled before the crit effects/damage is totalled. So yes, I think we did it incorrectly. Not used to having scatters on ships, man!
Indeed. Scatter happens immediately, cancelling all dice in the attack pool... Which is before critical effects are worded..
And with Toryn - that's something I think a lot of people are forgetting. Toryn does nothing for herself but paint a Bullseye on the ship she's on....
Wave 3's going to have a bunch of adjustments to make for us all ![]()
Still an awesome battle. I think the telling thing was that the ISD lost its ability to fight due to the slicer tool GR75 being in its side arc. Being able to use tarkin boosted Nav and Eng commands could have made it very different.

Tarkin will likely see an uptick. People will be needing navigate tokens more often since they might end up losing those Nav dials.
VSD's will want Tarkin Liasons or at least one of the 4 commander/captains
The "best" and most expensive option is tarkin plus liaisons. But if you want one of the other Admirals I think liaison plus a comm net flotilla will be almost as good, as long as you have something else useful for the flotilla to be doing. Rebels can chuck Leia in for good measure if needed.
I like liaisons better than the 6 pointers because both Nav and Eng can be vital at key points in the game either to save a ship or ensure it can attack at best effect. As much as I love weapons liaisons I think she won't get a run as much as she best favours heavy carriers, which are probably going to be less popular than flotillas.
