How is this not being discussed?

from the article for wave 9, near the end of the Shadow Caster write up

"... and force your opponents to suffer the lingering effect of tractor beam tokens that are not removed during the end phase ."

I know the general consensus of tractor beams is in 9/10 situations it's better to just attack with a primary. However if they could persist through turn they would actually have a much better use.

I can't see anything that would support the articles claim, unless it's one of the other pilot abilities. None of what can be read from the upgrade cards point to that ability. Unless its the one with the action header.

quite a few times actually

and you don't have to worry about attacking with t-beams. Shadowcaster title and Ketsu (pilot) allow you to slap tokens on after doing damage, before you even attack respectively

the upgrade that lets you keep T-beam tokens around is almost 100% going to be ketsu (crew), simply because nothing else makes sense. Lattz does something when defending relating to stress, gyro whatevers will almost certainly have to do with the mobile arc, the thing in the spoiler that says deploy is for debris fields, blacksun slicers are worthless because they roll dice etc.
