Magnificent 6 IC thread

Ping's attention is returned to Teleth when he sends out his invitation.

"You have a heart filled with revenge good sir. This may be your undoing." Sipping his Blue Milk he adds, "However I am never one to see a good man go down alone. Count me in."

Ping then pats his sides as if looking for something,

"Of course I would be a lot more useful with a blaster. Is there someone in town that needs the Pirates taken care of as much as you? Perhaps someone that can trade the use of their rifle for my pirate eradication services? I will certainly return the weapon when finished. Should I live. Of course if I don't live, then perhaps you would be kind enough to return it?"

Ping gives Teleth a pat on his back and a large smile.

Kolah stared at his drink as he watched the ice melt in it ever so slightly. The game would be revenge. But the reward would be finding a ship off this gods for saken of a planet. Kolah didn't inherently object to revenge, he was certian some peole in his life were deserving of it. He pulled a pack and took out a slender cigar. In a smooth motion he lite a match and lit the smoke on fire. Taking a long drag he picked up his glass of whisky and then drew a slow sip before making up his mind.

"Revenge sounds doable. Do you have intelligence on them?" He then took a slow drag before releasing some smoke "Or are we going to need to scout ahead and determine some weak spots before going in?"

"Revenge, huh?" Kane paused and indicated to the bar keep he wanted a drink.

"What did these pirates do to you?...Any others around here willing to join you?"

Sure, whatever. Teleth tells Ping.

I have minimal intelligence on them, their cave is about 3 kilometers south-southwest of here. And there is roughly 50 of them. He responds to Cola.

These pirates burned down the village I was born in and enslaved me. When I did make my escape they found the village I was hiding in and raided it, I don't think they knew I was there originally, but they probably did once I killed their captain and took his pistol. And now they've followed me here. He says to Kane.

"So with 50 of them, on bikes, with blasters, and we have . . " Ping looks around at his desert-worn comrades, "us."

"Sounds like we need a way to whittle down their numbers. Do you know of a place they frequent? How many typically come on raids? Have any other residents been affected or do they just have it out for you?"

They're looting the place, so all the other villagers have been affected.

Jost thought on the prospect of killing these pirates. He did not think his flight on that starship would end with him committing murder. He knew revenge would begin to torment his mind and connection to the force. Twisting it into something dark. The was a saving grace, if these horrible acts would fine justice for the townspeople, he could allow himself to do them. "Teleth, I am in!" Jost exclaimed with a slamming of his fist to the bar top. "Where can we start?"

Kolah sighed softly and inhaled from his cigar once more "Well .....50 is .... a lot. Maybe we should do some scouting and see what kind of terrain we can make use of? Places where we can maybe thin out their numbers some"

Couple of Terentaks have their cave a couple 2 Klicks from here, in the same direction as the pirates.

"Are these pirates local or did they come from off-world?"

Paya narrowed her eyes at the town, it seemed the people were rather sparse. Could everyone be in the saloon right now? "What a strange custom that would be," she spoke to herself.

Within a minute she would be inside the saloon herself, quickly spying her weather-worn traveling companions, and resting a hand on the armored Iktochi's shoulder. "What have you learned? The rest of this town is... far too quiet."

Kolah took a sip of his drink as he thought for a moment "I have some recon droids, maybe we can start by mapping the town and seeing what we have to work with in regards to defending this town."

Ping finishes off his refreshing beverage and looks down at himself. Seeing the level of dirt clinging to him, he glances around for the referesher.

After several minutes of cleaning, washing and lip-whisker trimming, he comes out looking a lot more presentable. He comes over to Teleth.

"Well, you have had many of us agree to help with your pirate problem. As along as the town is on board, we are with you. What do you suggest?"

"Pirates are from off world, all right. Some of them are from Munchas othwrothers are from Takisatn and Empress Teta or the Taipian systym. As for why the town is deserted, we evaced most of the females and kids to the inside, keep 'em safe." Teleth responds, gesturing towards the elaborate cave system behind the town. "And you're probably right, probably a good idea to send the remotes out, map the place. I haven't really had time to explore the whole town, ecspecially the parts in the caves."

Kane looks Teleth squarely in the eye.

"I'm not one for revenge. But justice is another matter and your people need that as much as anyone. You've got my help."

"Justice and revenge tend to end up in the same spot most of the time." Telth replied, "But thank you for your help."

(If you guys want to do some posts of exploring the town that's fine by me, otherwise we can advance now.)

"Sounds great, let's go" host says to Teleth. Just and the others wait outside for Teleth to lead them.

Kolah pulls a pair of small round driods from his bag "I'll have these circle the town and map it for us so we can get a better idea of how to defend it."

Just then, a great noise sounds outside the town. "Teleth Ovoorum Nekronos, come and fight." As you rush outside you see multiple bikes on the horizon, about 20.

"Battle charge!" Jost shouts as he running toward the oncoming bikers.

Kane steps out into the dusty streets and stares at the approaching bikers weighing his options and reaching out into the Force.

Kane reached into his robes and pulled out his lightsaber keeping his thumb near the activation button. Once such a symbol of justice might be enough to scare off pirates but Kane knew that this day he'd have no such luck.

"Teleth - anything we can use for barricades?"

The spastic Ping was already up and out of his seat before the clamor of the arriving pirates completely settled and before the yelling begins. Following the others he assess the 40 bikers. "That is a lot of bikes." He says to Kane, shaking his head, then with a laugh he adds, "How are we going to ride them all?" Then ducking to the side with surprising speed he heads down a back alley to find a way to come into closer range to the pirates without being seen directly.

With two hands he has his shield at the ready, the other two are being used to support his balance as he leaps quickly from wall to road to window-sill. It had been a while since he had the freedom to move this quickly. It was good to know that the town residents are tucked safely away and out of sight. When he is close enough he pauses to determine the best approach to the impending threat.

Paya saunters to a window and peers outside carefully, surveying the area. It would be useful to see the sort of ordinance they were up against.

"Always in such a rush," she muttered to no one in particular. The rest of the group seemed to be moving into position, hopefully they could gel as a team.

(May I make a Perception check now?)

Metharom, seeing the swoops enter the village, draws closer to investigate.

"Well that didn't long" Kolah says as he watches the swoop bikes coming in. He unslings his rifle and takes up a position from which he can snipe at the incoming targets.
