Suggestion for Scum Ship Title "Stolen Ship"

By steambucky, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Technically this doesn't fit into the other topics -

"Stolen Ship" Ship title (Unique)

Costs X for rebels / 2 x for imperials ( X = well, what do you think it should cost? )

This allows you field 1 non-unique rebel ornon-unique imperial ship. ( you can only take 1in total in your list )

How much would hold that cost?

Thoughts? Is it madness?

What about upgrades, would you allow all astromechs for instance? Because then you've got a recipient for Xizor in a regenerating X-Wing. How about adding a Phantom to your list?

By all means, go for it, especially in a campaign structure it could be fun, especially if adding a pilot with abilities. Say, Talonbane in a Defender?

For a while 'urban cannibal' and I ran a campaign where after a battle ships could be salvaged, also if a pilot lost a ship but survived and was rescued they could be used to pilot a spare ship where the crew might have been killed.

So at one point his rebels were flying a tie advanced.

Special characters does give a potential for 'broken combinations' but in the campaign rules we were only allowed one named character each, all the others were generics we named oursleves. These generics could obtain abilities (randomly assigned) and also get better PS over time.

It works brlliantly among good friends who can mess about with rules and compromise but it would be a competetive play recipe for disaster :)

To be honest, I had only thought as far just allowing a single "vanilla" versions of reb or imp ship into a list. ( like outer rim smuggler ) I hadn't thought about droids.

It was mainly for campaigns, but I wanted it to be balanced off course.

I'm gonna think more about, but still keen to hear any more thoughts or suggestions.

Maybe it be better to make Scum Version of X Ship type ( for which there are many nice custom cards already ) , rather than a "suits all" ship title.

Strangely enough, there are not a lot of pilots who would be overpowered in a different ship.
