Righteous Success - why?

By Destrin, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

So, a minor gripe since I actually really love the game from what I've managed to play so far.

Why do we have a righteous success symbol? It's really easy when glancing at the dice pool to miss that extra little + next to the hammer, and I notice on the red stance dice, we have a face where there are 2 hammers presented. Why didn't FFG just put two hammers on the yellow faces rather than the righteous success? Seems like it's easy to misread that when two hammers would have done the job just as well?

A righteous success doesn't mean double success. The second dice may give you a comet, another righteous success... or nothing. Think of it along the lines of Ulric's Fury from previous editions (in fact, since expertise dice are d6, the chance to roll one is the same as rolling 6 on damage in 1 ed).

*actually reads the dice reference chart*

OOoo, We've been playing it as two successes, not roll another dice.

Okay, I take back my comment as being officially dumb :)
