Crazy Epic 1000pt game coming up!

1000pt Fleet!
I know crazy but should be a bloody feast for the blood god. :)

Here's my Imperial Fleet for it.

No ship proxies and we only use the ships we have.

Raider goes head on for the Corvette.
Backedup by the Gozanti and her 4 TFers.
Decimator goes hunting to crash into targets with backup from the Phantom.
The 2 Firesprays stay long and hit targets of opertunity.
Shuttle Punishers and Tie Bomber come up behind the BIG ships to lay bombs to defend rear.
Tie Defender and the Tie Interceptors go hunting fighters.
Darth Vader and his mini swarm go after rebel ace pilots!

That seems fun. I would throw a Single Turbolaser on the front to punish incoming Ghosts and Falcons from a lot further than they can hit you with. Also helpful in destroying the opposing huge ships. But other than that, I'd like to watch it play.

Probably needs a bigger starfield than standard 3x6" to do it justice is my thought. Sounds fun though!

Sounds crazy fun. The biggest I have done in the past was 600 points and that taught me a few lessons.


1. Less is more. When flown in large numbers, generics are stronger than in regular games as the sheer number of dice rolled will quickly take their toll.


2. Aces are less valauble (particularly defensive aces) when your opponent can easily dedicate 200 points of ships to burn through Soontir's defenses in one round. Even Palps ain't gonna save him from that. :D


3. Pilots with bubble abilities increase in value in proportion to the size of the game. I see you already have Carnor Jax in there. Consider adding other useful strong players such as Epsilon Leader. Captain Jonus also becomes awesome. Think how many rerolls he will grant just by flying alongside the Raider with all those secondary weapons!


4. You have the wrong EPT on Youngster! He can only share Action: EPTs with nearby Ties, not abilities like VI. Try running him with Rage, Howlrunner and Epsilon Leader alongwith as many Black/Crack Ties as you can for total devastation. :D
