I love me some bombers. For our 6 week league I'm doing a bomber list each week.

Turns out I'll be able to attend a regionals and figure I'll just bring some bombers and have fun with it.

My two options right now are:

Scimitar + Prox x4

Doomshuttle

OR

Scimitar + Prox x3

Decivader

Just last night at our league I ran the Decivader one against:

Corran FCS R2

Wes BB8 Integrated

Biggs Damage-Soak-Droid Integrated

And I was one die roll on Corran's Major Explosion away from winning. So all in all not too shabby. (Corran survived the major explosion and went on to re-gen and mop up my remaining forces.)

My thoughts are Decimator is much better at getting use out of Vader and I enjoy flying it more.

Doomshuttle gives me one more bomb on the field, more green dice, and more targets, but will be harder to utilize Vader since I'm not as good with the shuttle.

I think the Shuttle list is probably the better option. In my game last night with the decimator, I lost a bomber before it could even shoot or drop a bomb. With an extra bomber that would mitigate some of that liability.

Thoughts?

Yeah that's a tough one. The Decivader is tons better in the current meta, against all these aces flying around, plus its more maneuverable and has a turret, so much easier to actually use Vader. It's a shame there's no room for Gunner too.

But I've ran Doom Shuttle + 4 Bombers before, and the list really loses its teeth once the shuttle is down and the bombs are spent, so you may find that you really need that 5th ship...
