Designing dials for custom ships....

By irishthump, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Guys,a weird request.....

I have been toying with the idea of using the X Wing movement mechanic in another game, does anybody know of an online source for designing your own movement dials and printing them out? Or even suitable software for designing your own?

easiest way I can think of is to just use a card for movement, sleeve it and use dry erase markers

Use the dial maker tool on the card making tool website.

It's called...eh...

Crap I remember.

But it makes it easy to design all sorts of game pieces. Everyone here uses it for custom cards.

Could always 3D Print some... there's plenty of dials on Thingiverse.com

Strange Eons has an X-Wing mod for creating cards and dials for X-Wing but there are others too. Then use FFGs new plastic dials with your printed out inserts and you should be good to go.

Please tell us what the other game is.... I am very curious! Is it WW1 or WW2 air combat?
