Shows how long it is since I've been in Halfords...never realised they did a range of spray camo paints!
...another top tip!
![]()
You also get twice as much paint as in the Humbrol spray tins.
But overall costs less.
Halfords spray paint is really good !
Barry, have you tried their "ArtFX" range of sprays at all ? Per your comment above, wondering if they would be better value than Humbrol for 'brighter' colours? ![]()
Had no idea what you were talking about.....until I looked it up.Barry, did you steal the Mars Mission logo?
Your right. It is very close.
My Brother designed the logo.
He is a graphic designer.
Left it up to him.
I like it though....so i won't be changing it.
Besides......not like there will actually be a manned Mars mission any time soon !
The Human race is to busy burying itself in petty squabble's and waisting money on lost cause's.
A Mars missison like that where everyone got together would be an impressive driving force of nations working together to achieve a legacy.
The technology and knowledge gained from something like that would lead to so many great things.
Oh well...I guess we can dream.
Also reminds me of LEGOs classic space logo.

yea, the mars mission lego theme used that same logo, just different colors, to be mars.

Sf1 Raptor
Few More photos of the G1-A HIND in flight.
Photographed in front of a Sky painted card backdrop and then used Photoshop to remove the model stand.
All the best
Barry.

Barry, I just gotta ask (sorry
) - the 'vertical thrusters' under the rear fuselage - are they Carley life-rafts from a ship kit ?
EDIT: Oh, very nice Photochopping! ![]()
Both ships look even better now that they've gotten a coat of colour. Now I think you wrote earlier that the 'Mandalorian Interceptor' were meant to look a bit like a VF-11 but I don't know if I completely agree with you there. I'd rather say it looks a bit more like a VF-4. Of course, no matter the VF it actually looks like, you've certainly managed to capture the Macross look.

Hi Ian.
Yes they are from the British Battle ship 1/350 king George V.
I like the ridges on outer circumference.
Adds extra detail.....but also gives away it's a life raft !
Well spotted ship mate.
All the best.
Barry.

Hi Ken,
Yes your right....not the VF-11 more like the VF-4.
But Also with the forward canted wing of the VF-19.
Hve you seen the new VF-31 SEIGFRIED Fighter. I bought one of the new BANDAI Mecha Collection kits.
Fantastic little models.
I have ordered another two of Amazon !
The model kit itself is brilliant, but it doesnt have water slide transfers....horrible stickers.
Wont use those anyway, just paint them in the many schemes out there.
Cheers Ken.
All the best,
Barry
Edited by Barry HarkerOne Last play with Photoshop.
And the edition of some T-47 Snow speeders re-painted as ground attack air speeders,
and added for " Photo Fun "
One is from a kit with an AT-AT and the other is a Micromachines model.
had them kicking around in a box for years, so I thought I would put them to some use and paint them up
as Squad support for the G1-A HIND starfighter conversion.
Had a lot of fun converting the G1-A.
busy over the next few weeks but already have the next model ready for conversion.
Going to be Converting a Jumpmaster 5000 into something close to Agent Winters Transporter from the X wing Rogue Squadron Comics.
Here is the Last photos of the G1.........

That's it for now.
All the best.
Barry.
Edited by Barry Harkerin the wide shot of the hangar....whats the ship poking into the frame with the white tips on the front?

I know of the latest Macross series but I haven't really bothered with it yet. I prefer to wait until a series or at least a season is finished before viewing it. The Siegfried is certainly a fairly sexy aircraft though in terms of Macross fighters not terribly new or revolutionary. On the other hand, I freaking love the other fighter in the series, the SV-262 Draken . Partly because I'm Swedish and the original Draken was a revolutionary (for its time) fighter aircraft of Swedish design, but mostly because I've always liked the looks of the original Draken .
Hey Macros.
Yea the Draken is a nice aircraft.
There are a few variations of it in the new Macross series.
The Siegfried builds Into a nice model.
I have now bought three.
The bandai kits are so well made !
All the best Ken.
Barry.
in the wide shot of the hangar....whats the ship poking into the frame with the white tips on the front?
Hey Velvetelvis.
That is my Macross (Ken) inspired Vic Viper.
One I have yet to finish.
All the best.
Barry.
JUMP MASTER 5000 " Heavy Conversion "
There is a ship that has been part of the STAR WARS Universe since the Early Nineties.
And its actually one of my Favourite ship designs.
Around 1994 I bought the series of " X Wing Rogue Squadron Comics "
and in the series, Battle Ground Tatooine.
Agent Winters......who eventuality Marries Tycho. Uses a great Looking Transport ship to take in
Imperial Special Forces to take out a Rogue Imperial Commander.
There isnt much on this ship, no photos anywhere and not much on wookiepedia.
Here is the ship I'm talking about........

Its great looking Tub, well at least I think so.
Although im not doing an EXACT COPY of the ship.
Im going to follow it close within the proportions of the Jump Master.
Now I really like what the Jump Master can do on the Gaming table.......But really dislike the way it looks !
so cutting one of these Ugly buggers up will be a pleasure !

I like the idea of building it with the Cockpit setup off to one side.
So ill follow the Jumpmasters lines and work with in the ships frame.
and attack it with Razor saws !

Everything else will be Styrene plastic card and strip sections cut and shaped, and some good old fashioned kit bashing.
The Engine nacelles are an odd looking design......maybe a bit to Star Trek for some.
But I like the unusual design.
and in order to replicate them for left and right, I tack each piece together.
so when getting there shape, each part will be symmetrical in shape and size.

Then build the Cockpit section up out of plastic card ready for finer detail later.

I will use the open section of the Jumpmaster for the Cargo hold and engineering section.
