The Klingon color scheme works so wonderfully on your beast of a Firespray! It's so aggressive looking. I just can't get over how well this turned out.

Looking forward to this, I've wanted to convert the Falcon into one of the other YT's with a more symmetrical look and a central cockpit, but hadn't figured out the rounded corridor section of the hull. Looking forward to your build process for some tips.

After lots of thought on the Colour I came back to my original colour scheme idea. that's the reason I raised the detail on the wings and tail....for the red accents.

Its on my table now, will be breaking it down into pars and then cutting all the sections up......then the long scratch build of all if the sections.

I never liked the canopy on the firespray, to big. not a good idea in a fire fight having that much cockpit glass....easy target !

Started on the YT-1930 by cutting the back engine section of with a Razor saw.......Easy when you have the right tools !

Printed out some Plans and scaled them to the model, so I can now measure all the parts I need to make correctly.

working to plans just makes things easier !

While Im working on the YT, I'm getting on with another model.

this one is more of a........urge to Scratch an Itch

Conversion of a Model that I don't really like the look of.......This Droid needs something a bit more Menacing to ride in.

We all know the Menacing looking Hunter Killers From Terminator.

Sleek chrome Buzzing Drones from the first and second Movie.

But the one I really like and has a more Menacing gritty appearance to it are the H-K's in Terminator Salvation.

They are meant to look more beaten up and worn as they are a pre-cursor to the shiny better H-K's in T-1 & T-2

Originally I was just going to paint the IG chrome, then I thought.....Ahhh Hunter Killers,

they look menacing and would suit the frame of the IG2000.

But make the model more like that of the Salvation H-K's instead of the Chrome versions.

So I started this weekend by attacking the IG with a Razor saw and then building the rear section out of Styrene card

and the Engines from a Jedi Starfighter model Kit.........

The Terminator Salvation H-K's have a Scale Panel effect on them, they look like metal Sword Fish of a sort.

So its a bit of time cutting up lots of small sections of Styrene and gluing them to the model with Plastic Weld.

It isn't Going to look exactly like the Salvation H-K as I still want the I-G 2000 to be recognisable.

There is an Acrylic rod running through the middle of the model so the engines can rotate,

and pose for the Flight position......

The model is finished as far as the build is concerned, just need to do some fine sanding and panel clean up....

I have more Photos of the model finished and Primed,

I will post those soon.

Tomorrow I will get on with Painting the Model in the Dark Grimy Scheme of the Salvation H-K's

Yes it is an odd looking design.....like something is missing,

Been thinking about it since Christmas....got it from a friend as a present, He will get a bit of a surprise when I field itagainst

Ever since I first cought a glimpse of the YT-1930. I wanted to build it.

Now Im finally getting round to it, Ill get this IG out of the way and concentrate solely on the YT

Well its about time I got round to Re-editing this page with all of the Images Re-Hosted.

Its going to take me some time......probably the rest off the week !

But while i'm off with an ear infection and feeling pretty groggy, may as well do something useful.

And i'm looking forward to Finally deleting my photo bucket account once this is done

Yes the Photobucket Issues have been causing a lot of problems for a lot of people.

But I have finally got all of the images on this thread RE-POSTED !

And got rid of my Photobucket account.

Now on with posting more custom builds........and Re-hosting all of my other threads !

First Model finished since sorting out the image pa-lava.

And now a lot easier to post with the new image hosting service i'm now using

Had to dodge the rain drops to take photos of this Model. and it was also a bit difficult with

the model being so dark against a typical English sky.......Grey and wet

But here is the finished IG 2000 HUNTER-KILLER

The model for me now looks a bit more purposeful for a Bounty Hunting Droid.

Wasn't a great fan of the way the IG 2000 looked, although I do remember seeing some fantastic versions

painted up to look like something out of TRON LEGACY, they did look fantastic.

the only issue now is I need to build another three to make full use of the IG talents !

Or make a mould of it.

The Model sits on its stand at an angle to give it the look of flying on the axis of the

rotating engine pods, like the H-K's do in the films, kind of how a Helicopter fly's

with the dropped nose and the tail raising up to get lift on the rotors.

I also think it looks more menacing this way !
