Vallejo spraycan primers

By Polda, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

Couple of times now I had to get a Vallejo Primer spraycan because Tamiya or Citadel were sold out in all the stores I know in my city (It's not a large one). Can't get Army Painter here.

In all cases the results were pretty awful, either not covering at all; dissipating about 2 cm from the nozzle; the nozzle being difficult to press or just creating a fuzzy finish.

To be honest all of those usually happend at once

This would happen regardless of whether it was cold, hot, dry or humid. No weather condition had any effect on them behaving better or worse.

The only way to get the spraycans to work was to:

- soak them in a bucket of hot water for some time

- shake them like a maniac for about 5 minutes

- make a sacrifice to an elder god

Even then it would last for couple of sprays and then go to shi..hell again.

So is it just my bad luck or are Vallejo Primer spraycans just dogpoop?

Note: never had an issue with any of their other products -the metallic paints are simply fantastic
