Seriously? Anyone know why Disney doesn't want to bring back Billy D?

he may have not wanted to do it.

I seem to recall Harrison Ford didnt really want to do it and did it on the condition that what happens to han solo actually happened... he'd wanted that to happen in Empire.

Same for the guy who played Wedge. He didn't want a cameo that was there simply for the sake of having Wedge in the movie.

Does Billy D want to be back?

He's the one character I wanted back.

In fact, when I first saw previews with Fin wielding a lightsaber I was hopeful he was a son of Lando and Leia. Interesting love triangle, but one that continues the Skywalker Force story but this time with a Calrissian.

Alas poor Yorick it was not to be.

If Billy D doesn't want to be in any of the movies, I wish him well and respect him for it.

They have - for Rebels. We'll have to wait and see if they bring him into non-Rebels material though.

I would guess this is probably a big factor. He's been pretty active in voice work, so I have a hard time believing the interest isn't there, but maybe the demands of physically acting in an action movie are getting a bit taxing?

Love Lando's character and what Billy D did with it.

The universe is a big place. Some Characters are better left off screen. Boba Fett is infinitely more badass than his Dad. His Dad took on a jedi and won. No-one talks about a possible Jango spin off movie. What did Boba do? Nothing. Yet he's the biggest badass in the galaxy. Why? Because we, the audience filled in the blanks oursrlves.

I suggest EpVIII .. Or is IIX .. Throw in a throw away line like "It's nothing compared to Lando's drama Corteth, how he got out of that one we'll never know."

Leave it there. Let the audience fill the blanks. Let us emotionally invest into the universe. What we individually think of is much more exciting for us than anything on screen.

In Episode 8, we find out that Lando isn't actually human, but whatever Yoda's species is. In the previous trilogy, he was 870, which means by now he's 900, and will be a short, wrinkled, green puppet.

In my own defense .. it was very ridiculous.

I was implying that Finn was the love child of Lando and the large lady who dances in Jabba's Palace before the Twilek dame. The large dame is wearing what looks like 3 bikini tops .. therefore .. 6 breasts.

I suggested that this affair ended in the birth of a child, in the den of a renowned drug lord. DOCS took the child into custody (as the parents were hopped up on Jawa Juice and spice) and gave it t .... nevermind.

Billy D Williams has stated NUMEROUS times that he'd love to be back for Star Wars.

And he doesn't have to do action scenes. Simply having him in a war room, just like Ackbar, would be good enough for me.

Just wait until Ep 8-9 are done and they go back and make some movies to fit in between 6 and 7. They will recast him with someone younger (as with everyone).
