Nice, very nice. The ISD has an older pseudo republic feel too it, not quite an Imperial standard but not strictly the Republic either. It almost feels like a nice transitional look between them. Still, very cool and very clean.
But I like the MC80 and the MC30 with the violet and blue. It's rare to see violet it seems, but it was a great idea to mingle that with the blue at the center out. It's very organic, unique, and eye catching. Seriously mate, nice work. ![]()
Looks good, very nice. I like the iridescence on the Mon Cals. And of course, the little red frigate.
Thanks dudes!
@Vykes, yeah I did it for identification on the stream but my thinking was it was an old Republic commander's flagship who earned his right to bend the rules a little.
****, those are sexy.
Where can I learn those techniques? Could you make a tutorial and post it on the painting tutorial thread?

Many posts are not put into the correct spots, this is most certainly not the first and most certainly will not be the last.
Seeing those makes me want to bust out my airbrush and give it a good clean. Maybe once wave 4 drops and I can spend a weekend blasting away....
Love the stripes on the MC80/30s - very effective.
The ISD though looks really well to me, very simple and clean.
Love the MC30 and the ISD. Nice and clean.
The stripped MC30/MC80, dunno, almost seems a little too "non-military" in look for me. Still, great artistic skill!
Thanks guys! Here's a quick rundown on how I did the big fish.
AIRBRUSH
1) Base coat the whole model in Privateer Press' Demon Flesh airbrush paint.
2) Mix some PP Snow White into the Demon Flesh and lightly spray over the model.
3) Use Vallejo air midnight blue, aiming to stay in the center of the model, and feather the edges a bit to make it look sort of shimmery/have a nice gradient
4) do the same with a lighter shade of blue- the name escapes me right now. This time, staying inside the perimeter of the midnight blue.
5) use the PP Snow White to do the tiger stripes with the airbrush.
HAND PAINT
1) use Vallejo Sky Grey to pick out some Greebles.
2) use Americana Victorian Blue to pick out other Greebles. I was going to use an orange, but didn't like the effect- I wanted it more subtle. A green might've also worked to stand out more.
3) MC30- use Vallejo London Grey to re-paint the grey parts of the super structure.
4) MC80- Use Vallejo London Grey to paint some of the.. uh... elongated greebles just for texture.
5) MC30- highlight some of the super structure with Sky Grey
6) use Vallejo German Grey to paint engines
7) changed the engine color to orange/yellow rather than blue so it stands out.
That about sums it up!
I am not sure if those look good or not can you mail them to me for inspection.
So hotttt!!!
The thing about the rebellion is....is....well....they can be painted whatever/however it's no big deal.
Great work here Steve, I think everyone should explore their own style's more around here.
Edited by Gottmituns205I just wanted my fish to look like a 90s T-Shirt.
Or a solo cup.

GreebleHaul Red?
Obviously. It hides the blood stains.
Fun fact, red also fits into the Solo cup theme.

Good Good. I am doing my part to make this a thing on this forum.
