I plan on ordering at least the Arwing in the near future, and I want to paint it in my fleet's colors - my problem being that I'm not sure what ship/pilot would be best-suited for a ship as badass as an Arwing or a Wolfen! Anyone have any recommendations?

well with the new mod that adds barrel roll to any small ship your options have opened up al ot imo

Who'd be a good proxy? Honestly, for a Wolfen- and let's say Wolf O'donnel?

Corran Horn.

If you're feeling Fox McCloud for the Arwing?

Poe Dameron. PS8 or 9 is fine.

You've got two ships- the E-Wing and T-70, one has a distinct edge in agility but the other one if PS9, has a distinct edge in initiative. In Star Fox, The Wolfen is often stated to be better than the Arwing, and there's little reason to believe it isn't. It's an extremely high performance craft that you really can't lock onto. There's no easy mode here, when facing one.

Thing is, Fox pretty much always comes out on top. PS9 Dameron comes out at just under two points of PS8 Corran, but their different abilities and approaches offer a lot for you, the player.

So go ahead and give those two a shot. E-Wing's got way more to be outfitted with but, as a more advanced ship is IS more expensive, and the T-70 is truly a deadly starfighter in the right hands.

Lackwit, I love you right now. XD But yeah, that sounds like a cool setup! What kind of upgrades do you think would fit? My Agile E-wing build sounds like it might fit for the Wolfen (Corran, PTL, BB-8, Sensor Jammer, Stealth Device; Agility 4 and essentially cancelling a hit on each incoming attack, forcing my enemy to use Focus), but I would like alternate ideas!

So, after talking to a friend, we came to the conclusion that maybe a TIE Defender might be a better fit for a Wolfen. So far, we've come to this for Wolf O'Donnel:

Rexler Brath (39)
TIE Defender (37), Push the Limit (3), TIE/x7 (-2), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

D.... d... *grunts* do... DO A BARREL ROLL!

In all honesty thats cool. I would totally do that if i had those ships.

Probably run the Arwings as Awings because theyre far to nimble to make sense as a T70 to me and Wolfen as the T70 or Ewing, since theyre usually slightly less mobile and hit harder.

Imperial wise, yeah defender for the Wolfen and probably TIE Adv or TIE Adv Prototype for the Arwing.

Get a Greatfox as a Decimator or Falcon :D

The Great Fox only has a forward-firing arc, so the Ghost might be a better fit. It's even more tank-y, too. :P And I see. Don't you think that the A-Wing is a tad too flimsy, though?

Arwings arent flimsy? They lose a wing really **** fast. Really isnt a ship thats fast and fits the bill an Arwing would be pulling off thats also durable. Defenders are the closest, but they also are a tad clunkier feeling (to me anyway) than an Arwing.

And yeah i guess thats true it doesnt have a turret so Greatfox would be better as a ghost. Which means if you wanted to run it imperial it would be limited to the Lamda Shuttle...which...tbh probably fits because the Greatfox is not nimble at all lol (Lamdas still hit pretty **** hard, they just cant keep the arc for long)

Well, Arwings would definitely be run as Rebels. :P But yeah, I'd toy around with the A-Wing (Probably Jake Farrel) or a Poe T-70 once I can get my hands on the model, and see which one feels "right".
