Yay.
Finished 39rh. 6-3 in the end, the 5 x Kihraxz did me proud! Had a blast all weekend, met some really nice people & great players. A lot of fun, looking forward to next year!
"not flying 2+ aces" ok this really is starting to bug me. Imps have literally nothing but crackswarm and aces, even if we bring a large ship we still have an "ace" - what else can imps run that isnt considered an "ace" these days?
even if i bring Omega Ace with solely PTL i get flak for running "Imp Aces" (not talking about his name either).
RAC + whisper is still effective if you know what you are doing.
No rebel scum makes me a happy Imperial
Before we start the sky is falling posts, just remember a top 8 out of 8 rounds, while also out of 400+ players means it was a really slim margin of error for making the cut.
How many people actually took a rebel list though?
It was only a cut to top 8?

Actually it was nine rounds.
Also there is an Imperial Aces list without Palpatine in the cut.

Yes.

Just like Hoth.

Still, an extremely small margin of error to make the cut. Just seeing the top 32 would be an amazing snapshot of the meta.
Palp Aces is just as broken, if not more so than U-Boats.
If Palpatine triggers once to save Soontir from damage, he's more than paid for himself.
Also, what the hell? The 90 player Regional I went to had a cut to top 16. You'd think with 400 people they'd do a cut to 64 or at least 32.
Edited by ParaGoomba SlayerHow often have rebel lists won nationals and worlds?
yet palp just got ravaged by a tripace list.
Top 4: imp vs imp, scum vs imp. Not sure if the other 2 imps have palp or not.
I dont think palp is AS broken as people think, but i dont doubt hes nasty. Shuttle can pull some shenanigans and can still hit hard if you can get arc, so its not JUST palp doing work. Ive won with palp + 2 because i had him stand still more than he saved soontir or jax.

You have to trigger him at least three times to make up for the fact that you're bringing a lambda shuttle to the field. If you run into a person who can hard kill the shuttle, there's a slight chance he may not be worth his points.

Once again, Hoth cut to top 8 as well. They did 9 rounds, which is quite a lot. But the Open series tournaments operate under a few different rules than normal tournaments.

The Lambda is rather efficient from a stats perspective, and it tends to get a few shots in itself. It's not a waste of 21 points.
But lets assume it is, and Palpatine actually costs 29 points. Triggering Palpatine 3 times is easy mode.

I salute you for playing 5 x Kihraxz.
10 months from now I hope they will have buffed this ship.
Ha scum guy running tripboats. Go figure.
Is there a single scum list that does well that isnt uboat spam? i dont follow these big tournaments religiously but i never see nonuboat scum in the top tier.

Bossk/Dengar has been gaining a lot of traction, especially locally (Colorado/Utah Area, USA) because of how well it deals with aces, as well as the alpha potential - Bossk has Concussions and Dengar is kitted out like a super-uboat, so he too hits like a truck.
No rebels anywhere on Yavin... See, don't buy into all of those terroristpropaganda films of the 70s. They are just trying to get you to sign up and throw your life away.
Long live the Empire!

Yavin was about four times the size of Hoth... I was expecting a top 32 at least.
