So, one of my players wants to play a shaman, which I think is neat. I recommended the Mystic/Seer career/specialization to go full spiritual mode (with maybe a Seeker specialization in the future). But what about species? What of the published species in FFG books make sense as a shaman? I want to present the player with a list to guide him during character creatio, but of course I plan to allow him to play any species he wants in the end (there can always be the "there is a remote planet of [species] were they developed a shamanistic culture around the Force" sort of approach), but guidelines are always useful.
Species with Shamans
Mirialans make good shamans, as do Gungans, Aleen, and Devaronians. There are many. You can justify just about any race having a shamanistic culture on almost any planet. There is a tribe of Zabrak that is raised on Dathomir that is subservient to the Nightsisters. The Nightsisters themselves are shaman-like, though the Dathomiri have not been a published race as far as I can tell. Not to mention Weik is a good place for shamanistic tribes to develop.
I could see a Wookiee shaman being fun. Though the stats aren't great for what you need.

Ithorian, Gungan, Bardottan, Aleena, Gand, Kel Dor (if they're Baran Do), Togruta, Zabrak, possibly Iktotchi, possibly Whiphid, possibly Dressellian, Wookiee.

When I hear "shaman" I'm thinking something more like Hermit than Seer. In that vein, I'd suggest Whiphid but even Cerean could work just fine. For a Seer with a focus on the future (not necessarily a "shaman" but it could be), Iktotchi is a pretty obvious choice.
Depends on your definations of sharman, but Gand Findsman and Keldor have force tradictions that wander, the latter of which has a lot in common with monks and being able to predict the weather.
Togruta are a hunter/tribal race shamans probably in the ballpark there
