There's no limit on how many stress tokens you can accumulate during a round. But keep in mind that when you perform a green manoeuvre, you only remove 1 stress token.

No ship is good without action, the best I found to beat BBBBZ was to make them bump into you, with low pilot skill and init bid. I was playing Adv-Adv-Adv-Fo-Fo with accuracy corrector, you don't need action. And you move before them so you have your action. Trust me, they are not good without action.
