Anyone ever played with four vsds and motto.......

It's mad I know but I'm getting an urge to go sod it and start to play four bare bones VSDs ( well with OE each) supported by Rymer with 3 bombers and four ties.....

But I took 5 and Motti to Store Champs.

I have played several times with 4 vsds and tarkin (I hate motti). It is pretty good and as long as you stick to a pre determined plan it works well. Also Firelanes is Broken with it so definitely take that as your Yellow lol

I've tinkered with 2 VSD and 2 Glads with Tarkin. It wasn't bad, but it was just a play against myself thing.

Everyone should do it at least once, for the learning experience.

I didn't do well, but that was more the circumstance of what was going on around me, rather than the list... The list was great.

In Summary:

Round 1

Ackbar Vettes + MC30, and 5 A-Wings...

I was too aggressive, I rolled in and tried to pin him against the mat edge, and then I started losing ships to the fact that his Bomber Dice never missed... Wasn't a great match up, but I learned a lot.

Round 2

AFMK-II, Neb-B, Corvette, BUNCH of Squadrons.

This was an AWESOME game for me... because I saw his list, and then... he had Fleet Ambush as one of his objectives... So I started with 3 VICs in Red Die Range of his Fleet, and had Motti and the 5th Back them up if he successfully jumped the line. With First/Last Activation and already being in range, this one was over quickly.

Round3

More balanced Rebel list. unfortunately, being a judge meant a lot of my time was split away from my table - lots of disputes as the day wore on, and it meant I budgeted my commands wrong and lost by flying 2 vics off the side of the table... Head-in-the-Game, this would have been a good game too...

50 hull points will almost NEVER get Tabled... BUT, it has glaring weaknesses.

I opted for the "and nothing else..." to get a 17pt Init bid... Having 5 activations and the bid was glorious.

Having NO WAY to manipulate my dice... That REALLY, REALLY hurt... FIND A WAY TO MANIPULATE YOUR DICE.

Five assault frigates with Garm, fast ish, with a ton of tokens....

Hmm... if I can get my hands on a couple of VSDs more I can try that 5 VSD list. One modification is to put two Point Defense Reroutes on two of them to deal with fighters.

Another idea was 3x VSDs, swapping two of them for GSDIIs with PDRs.
