So after last year's Wave 8 announcement, there was a little event called FORCE FRIDAY. It was a shopping extravaganza when FFG lifted the curtain on some movie tie-in madness. Including a new core set and two expansion packs that would be part of Wave 8.

Well, guess what? Here we are. Another year, another movie. And we have this:

It's Friday, September 30, 2016 at midnight. I bet manufacturers are scrambling and sweating bullets as 40% of the movie is getting reshot.

With Force Friday 2016, is Wave 9 going to get a little bigger? Are we going to see a TIE Striker and U-Wing?

Funny, I was wondering if that was a one-off or would be yearly. I don't know about another core set but it would be awesome if there was another XWM release.

I went to Force Friday last year but there were many more hardcore guys than me there who had been queuing for hours so I simply enjoyed the spectacle and went back in the next day to buy my copy of XWM.

I was thinking there is room in the bottom corner of the gif for another ship, hmm.

I'd expect a Rogue One box like veterans, aces, etc.

Oh yeah, I'm 110% certain we'll see those two in XWMG's Wave 9.

I'm guessing U-wing/TIE Striker expansions as wave 9.5, like the T-70/TIE fo were last year.

40% of the movie isn't being reshot.
