"Quickdraw" + Special Ops Training = up to 4 ATTACKS in a round

By Sentinal, in X-Wing

Quickdraw pilot ability:

"Once per round, when you lose a shield token, you may perform a primary weapon attack."

Special Ops Training upgrade card:

TIE/sf only. Title

"When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc, you may roll one additional attack die. If you do not, you may perform an additional attack from your auxiliary arc."

So tell me that I'm wrong with this. Quickdraw can hit an asteroid, possibly trigger a shield damage, get up to two attacks off before combat phase starts, then up to another two attacks during his turn. No enemy ace is safe from this guy.

3 times. Regular attack+ability+title=3

3 times. Regular attack+ability+title=3

What's your reasoning behind this. The ability says you may perform a primary weapon attack when you lose a shield. The title says you may either add one dice to your primary arc when making a primary weapon attack OR make a second attack from your secondary arc. In no way does the rules, as stated prevent Quickdraw from utilizing the title if he loses a shield.

Therefore, up to four attacks per round.

The way the title card is phrased you could do four attacks, two from primary and two from auxiliary.

"When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc... you may perform an additional attack from your auxiliary arc."

The idea seems to be:

"Hit asteroid. Perform primary attack. Choose not to roll additional attack dice. Perform additional attack from auxiliary arc. Then own attack phase comes up - perform primary attack (choose no additional attack dice), perform auxiliary arc attack".

or y'know, PTL/Rage+Ebaffle one stress take shield damage shoot. shoot again ect.

Oh true, I was thinking the title said once per round.

Oh true, I was thinking the title said once per round.

That simply means you can't pull the asteroid bump trick and then shoot back when an enemy shoots at you and brings down one of your shields.

4 attacks...2 dice each...at two different targets...once in a blue moon -_-

just excited for the better-than-corran double-tap with Rage + eBaffle at a not unreasonable 31 points

Or Expose + Adaptability + range 1 = two attack ace/large ship killer in one round.

then get booted from a tournament for cheating by using two EPTs

Id rather put autocorrect on him/her and get 2 guaranteed hits to my target. Hope he shoots back to get two guaranteed hits again, and then if anyone is behind me then do the same. That's fun. no one is going to want to shoot my Tie/FS

im with Diggity. I will most likely put PTL or Outmaneuver on'm and Acc Corrector. Not even going to bother with mods unless its revealed he has all white banks or some red banks then i'll do mk2 engines.

Probably wouldnt even run Quickdraw. I have a sneaky suspicion he's 29pts because they knew his ability would stir this much fuss. Which leads me to believe the others are quite a bit cheaper. I more want the rear arc than the quad shot.

Give, someday, some tech that allow imperials to shield regen... And loose the beast.

Oops... my mistake, for some reason I thought Adaptability was a modification.

You're probably thinking of Experimental Interface, which could combine with Baffles to give you the effect you want.

Though you'd only have one Focus/TL token available to get you through both attacks.

Auto Correct won't fit on a TIE/sf only Comms Relay, Weapons Guidance or that new one that comes with the TIE/sf.

look at his upgrade slots. Theres a sensor upgrade. Acc Corrector is a sensor slot.

He has EPT, Missile, Sensor, and Tech

While I think it's cool that he can get 4 shots a round, two of them will be out his rear arc. He will most likely be taking the bonus die to fire out the front. It's still great, though, and if he has shots at two targets, why not take them both?

Thats why i want acc corrector.

I personally find myself in a lot of positions where a rear arc would be amazing, but f- the firespray for imperials. Yeah im not hitting the guy infront of me -as- hard but im throwing dice at multiple targets. Either im eating tokens doing this or causing damage, because Acc Corrector will guarantee i cannot miss so its purely their dice.

I think, the true gold in Quickdraw is that, contrary to others tie/sf, he is no a glass cannon, because thanks his hability is not a desireable target (more so with acc. corrector).

More or less, like a firespray with rebel captive, but more agressive and better costed.

I was thinking more like Ruthlessness on Quickdraw...a potential for 4 additional damage on any ship you want within R1 of the primary.

A nice way to deal with Swarms and aces flying in formation.

Or the jerk who hides Biggs behind a blocking Ghost.

This guy is the IDEAL candidate for Expose.

you WANT to have low agility. You WANT them to attack you so you can attack 4x. Now each of those 4x attacks will be 3 dice instead of 2. And if howlrunner is nearby? Or if Youngster has Expose and you instead give him Predator? Now you've got up to 12 dice per turn!

You'll need to give him advanced sensors though.
