Your well timed 'Fly Casual' article reminded us of the true joys of X-Wing, and hinted that when we spoke, you listened. We said moveable fire arcs for turrets, you said Shadowcaster. We said TIE/sf with a turret weapon, you said TIE/sf with special fire arc! I can't describe how happy I am. Truly.

I wouldn't say nothing, with quickdraw slap on ptl + baffle + cluster missiles. Now you have 3 attacks front of 3-4 dice each

X-Wing was fun untill Punishing One came. Nowdays almost everyone use Punishing One in tournament and it is understandable. Cheap ship, turret, 2 Proton or plasma torpedoes, astromech that helps out to much and deadeye. 3 ships that together have 27 hp. Has rebels any change? Hell no due to high squadpoints. Maybe 5 A-Wings or 1 Ghost with Dash. Imperial... maybe if they barrel roll - outside firing arc, a lot.

The TIE/sf seems like a great choice for middle level play wherein you can tell a joke about an entire wave of ships and no one will get it. THAT seems to be the real power of it's special arc.
