Stats, discuss.

Ooh! That’s nice! Is that the same size as a YT-1300/YT-2400?

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was going to be a different name for the Lancer -class frigate .

I did look up the stats for a Lancer-class frigate, as well as the picture.

It’s clearly not the same ship. But I guess there are only so many words in the English language, so sooner or later someone out there has to re-use words for ships that have already been used for other ships.

Oh, well. This new ship looks cool, whatever the name is.

Shadow caster from Rebels, piloted by Sabine Wren's sister

Sister?

Nice model design but I'm disappointed in the name selection. I'm curious if that directive came from the Lucasfilm Story Group or was an internal FFG decision.

Sister?

Sister-in-arms?

Sister-in-arms?

What I told you was true, from a certain point of view

I'd really like FFG to make deck plan posters for all these kinds of ships. Having the model for ship combat and the map for internal combat / whatever would really add to the game. It would be a great expansion pack.

Yes it would have been nice to pick a different name. But:

  • Avenger: A British tank of WW2.
  • Avenger: A US torpedo bomber of WW2.
  • Avenger: A British ship class of WW2.

No way, no stats on this till I get the official stats for an Imperial Raider and Imperial Gozanti!

Sister?

Sister-in-arms?

Well the episode introducing Ketsu Onyo and the Shadowcaster was called "Blood Sisters".

Well the 24 is significantly smaller than the 13...I'd say this thing is slightly smaller than a 24. In the same rough size category as a Firespray, Skipray, or Lambda-class.

Ironically, I don’t consider the YT-2400 to be “significantly smaller” than the YT-1300.

Smaller yes, but only somewhat. Not enough to be “significantly smaller”. I mean, to me they’re both light cargo freighters, and both Silhouette 4. Certainly bigger than starfighters or the tiny HWK-290 “pocket freighter”, but not as big as a Gozanti or CR90.

However, from your perspective with X-Wing models, your impression seems to be that it is “significantly smaller”, otherwise you most likely would not have used those words.

I find it very interesting that we would have such different perspectives on the exact same models of ships.
