What's an easy competitive team to play?

I've been playing the game for about 8 months now, and am wanting to try a competitive team, but am not good at the game yet. What are some easy competitive teams I could build with my ships and up to $200? I don't care what faction by the way, although I have done okay with my TIE Phantom + TIE /fo, and TIE Interceptor team (still only won about 3 games with it though).

You could do palp aces. Looks like you need the Raider Corvette that includes Palp and the tie advance fixes, and a Lambda Shuttle, and a single TIE Interceptor. The Interceptor is only needed for the soontir fel pilot card, you might be able to pick one up single and cheap, if you don't want a third ceptor. Personally, I think the Lambda is a great cheap shooty utility ship, and comes w/ Vader crew, which makes it well worth it. The Raider comes with an extra TIE Advance and fixes for up to 4x of them (title and systems), as well as the Emperor Palpatine crew. You already have a starviper, which means you have autothrusters for Fell.

edit- I went to CoolStuffInc and put those three ships in the cart, total came to $108, which is just enough to get free shipping. Spend $8 extra bucks on a set of dial upgrades, and roll like a baller.

Here's a pretty simple list that you can make with the stuff you've got:

48 IG88B w/ Veteran Instincts, Heavy Laser Cannon, Fire Control System, Autothrusters.

52 (2x) Thugs w/ Twin-Laser Turret, R4 Agromech.

I've played this list a couple times with decent success. Nothing too complicated and it's got no hard counters.

I'm assuming that you mean syndicate thugs on scum y-wings?

I have played some TLT builds before, so if that's the case, I think I'll test this out.

It's not *too* hard, from my understanding. I've flown variants of it. It does take some finesse. You have to keep your aces out of other arcs, for sure, and Palp is usually around to keep them alive longer. Admittedly, it's not my particular cup of tea. And yes, the Imperial Raider expansion.

I have flown some arc dodging teams before, so does the same concept apply here too? Also, should I fly the shuttle slow so it doesn't take hits often?

Well you can fly the shuttle slowly, or you can stop the shuttle... Those are your options...
