How do we know the name of 'Old Teacher' and the ability of Fearless?
Old Teacher can be seen on the ship placard (the cardboard thing that goes on the base to show firing arcs) in the preview.
As someone pointed out, the Fearless EPT is half supposition from the part of the card we can see. We know it requires range 1 purely by the article noting that 4 of the cards mention Range 1 specifically.

If you only arc-dodge, you're doing so without the same amazing tools the Imperial equivalents are using. At that point, why not just play Empire?

If the baseline is around 20 points, that's the minimum cost for both the khiraxz and scyck (assuming you're taking a cannon).
As far as the khiraxz goes, the only question is how much is a shield worth to you? Because for the same cost, this ship will gain boost, barrel roll, and +1 agility, and a free title that gives it jousting power to boot. Or you could have the shield.
Mangler scycks can make the argument that being a cannon makes them better at range 3. But they have a hard time making a convincing argument that the ship is all that good in the first place. This is way better at range 1, not significantly worse at range 3, and about the same at range 2. It only misses out on crits, but will trade that for an extra hull point. I will say that Serissu is gonna love these.
And lastly, the poor starviper. Without knowing the dial or the exact cost, it's hard to believe the dial would be worse the starviper's, and I doubt the thing will cost more than 20. So the question again becomes, how much is a shield worth to you? If it's 5 points, go ahead. But I'm guessing it's not.

I fly the starviper quite a bit actually. Guri and Xizor can both be quite good, if a bit more expensive than I might prefer. I've flown a few games with scyks lately (Crack Dealers, 4 TVPs with crackshot, Serissu with crackshot, stealth and tractor beam), it's actually not a terrible list. I haven't flown my 3 kihraxz in quite some time...

You're quite right, but hull upgrade Carnor has been dealing with it for some time. 2+2 is already nicked by a-wings, and 3+1 is TIE/FOs, so I guess they wanted to shake it up a little?
