Quick thought- what would the reasoning be for having a small ship with six pilot cards and only 2 upgrades? We've had some similar releases before (Wave I TIE, TIE Interceptor, TIE f/o) but with the TIE and f/o they make sense because its just an upgrade for the core set. With the Interceptor, you could point to Imperial Aces later, but I don't think we're going to see a Scum Aces with the Fang in it when so many other Scum ships need help (Scyk, Starviper).
Fang expansion
Mostly because the Protectorate Starfighter has basically no upgrade slots. I'm a little surprised at least one torpedo was not included, given that is the only printed slot (so not including mods or titles) that is available to all Protectorate Starfighter pilots.
True, but we could have had some new or old Modifications. Autothrusters seems like it would be a perfect upgrade to include with the Fang.

Given that most of the pilot abilities give you some kind of bonus for being at range 1, I would think autothrusters is less than ideal (at least thematically). Mind you we haven't seen the dial yet so it may be more useful than the pilot abilities.

The most common format is 4 pilot cards & 5 upgrade cards.
I for one am glad they opted for more pilot cards because ships like this mostly rely on their pilot ability. (Soontir & Omega Leader for instance) All this ship needs is auto-thrusters & PTL for Fenn Rau.

Also, Turrets are a thing too.
It's because it is mirroring the TIE and TIE intercepter craft - ships that had no upgrade slots beyond EPT so you get nor pilots instead.
That was a different time, of course. And I will grimly place a bet that no more than one or two of those unique pilots are actually useful in serious play, so I'm a little sad to the fact they didn't throw in extra EPTs, torpedos, and modifications (though granted, anything other than autothrusters would be kidding themselves) instead.
I guess this way we get some nice variety so we've better odds of a pilot other than Feb being interesting, though?
