The problem with TFA is not that the movie is vague, it's that people get so dumbed down by watching TV shows and movies that dial in everything with such clarity that people do not have to think at all to understand what is going on.
Next wave is on the boat!!!
Yeah, I totally did not see any of that in the movie. There was no explanation about why he didn't like Han, no explanation why he was with Snoke, and the thing with Vader didn't make a whole lot of sense. "show me again?" That would imply that Vader showed him something at some point to justify his bad actions, which would completely invalidate Vader's redemption.
But it's all there.
Ren's interactions with Han show why he didn't like him. He wants to embrace the Dark Side completely, his connections to family hold him back from that. We're literally told this in the movie.
He wants to show that he's competent and makes assumptions about what he's capable of that end up falling short.
We don't need to know what he means by, "show me again," his remarks and the fact that he dresses like Vader (even emulating his helmet / voice modulator for cosmetic reasons, only to be called out on it) tell us what we need to know about how he perceives Vader.
Ren is with Snoke for training and as a guide to the Dark Side, their interactions make this really clear.
I get why people are disappointed with aspects of TFA, but Ren is very well executed from a character perspective. We get more nuance and substance in a couple of his scenes than we did with Anakin across the three prequels. Yes, he's immature, emo, and falls short of his potential. He's supposed to.
Well said.
I think Ben Solo/Kylo Ren is by far the best and most interesting character of TFA. Adam Driver has the perfect look for him and plays him perfectly.
I believe he is a interesting but bad character. He was trained by luke and from what the jedi are all bout this likey started at a early age. He then abandoned the light side (mostly) and is being trained by snoke who we are led to believe is quite powerful also. Yet this guy who was trained by what are most likely the 2 strongest force wielder currently in the galaxy cant defeat a girl who either A) has force amnesia or B) just figured out she had it. That bothers the hell out of me. Yes i know he got shoot by chewbacca yes he was not at 100% but him at 60% should have been enough to crush her. That being said i did enjoy the movie and will always be a die hard star wars fan. Oh and another thing i thought was stupid was how Poe dameron shoots down 10 fighters in 10 seconds (give or take) i dont have a problem wiht him being a great it jst makes it seem like he is heads and tails better than everyone else except maybe lando since he flew through the death star. Isnt ankakin supposed to be the greates pilot ever? jw
1) He was shot by Chewbacca with the same bowcaster that flung other people.
2) He had already been knicked by Finn in a lightsaber battle.
3) He was toying with her initially because he wanted to train her.

I agree with the chewbacca shot but thats it the little knick finn gave him was nothing, and toying with her is fine he should have still been able to crush her when needed
I'm hoping the next big expansion does something about the ally/villain rules because for people that play mostly campaign, these guys will almost never hit the table. I'm just having a lot of trouble getting excitied about these guys because if I get them they'll get stuck in a box and probably never get played.
It's not like bringing Greedo on once in a while without doing some side mission would break anything. Maybe allow a villain to be used at the cost of an influence and allies for 200 credits or something.

Well the next wave is still on the boat despite all this episode 7 talk
You're joking right? If I am willing to pay 4 threat to bring Vader once or twice in the campaign, you'd have to be paying at least 5 or 6 threat to do this!I'm hoping the next big expansion does something about the ally/villain rules because for people that play mostly campaign, these guys will almost never hit the table. Huh? Vader is 18 threat.

Other than the first scene he's in, almost every other bit with Ren is there to show his flaws and that he's not as rad as he thinks. Almost every scene with Rey is there to show how resourceful and competent she is.
Almost the whole movie justifies the outcome of that fight.

So I follow GTS Distribution on Facebook. Its a distribution company that sells to retailers (only way to buy from them is to be a retailer). Their latest post says:
"Short order alert! These new releases need to have pre-orders placed by June 22nd." (And the picture of the post has the 3 new figures, including some other merchandise)
Then you go to their webpage and it has them listed as "Release: July"
So take it for what its worth :-)

...what? FFG actually releasing something on time or early? Huh.
Okay so they like make big announcements at conventions or special dates.
Origins is going on now, but probably not good enough.
Gencon is August 4.
Star wars celebration is July 15.
Looks like celebration is the most likely Tie in if those are released in July.
If Obi-Wan is here, it's only a matter of time before another Rebels character will arrive...
Can not run out of time, there is infinite time. You are finite, Zathras is finite. This is wrong tool.
I really liked Zemo in Civil War. He had a understandable motivation. He wasn't even THE bad guy. He lost his family and seeked revenge. Great actor, too.
I like the motivation of Kylo Ren, too. He has more depth than the 1977 Vader.
What motivation did Kylo Ren have? I think I missed that part.
Kylo Ren was a male Skywalker offspring. He didn't need motivation he had the power of tantrum. Only Skywalker who wasn't whiny was Leia.
Minature Market has proven themselves worthy of my pre-order. I pre-ordered all three today.
Next wave is now shipping
FFG Event Center says these will release on July 14th.

Rebels still don't have a figure that isn't small. Overdue.

I still think a Rebel Tauntaun would be cool. Size of a EWebb (1x2) or Nexu cat (2x2).

Amazon is getting these out early. Greedo is marked as shipped and arrives at my house tomorrow, the other two are set to ship tomorrow and arrive on Thursday.
