Hey all, I'm not sure what the story is with the Pistol Grip upgrade (aka Extra Grip). From what I read it's converting a standard front load basic weapon into a bullpup configuration. Here's my questions though.
1. The weight indicates x1/3. Does this mean the grip weighs 1/3 the weapon weight or reduces the weapons weight by 1/3? Guess the same goes for the compact upgrade. If it weighs x1/2 more, doesn't that counter the text saying it weighs half? If they do reduce it by that much, do the weight reductions stack so it would weigh 1/6?
2. What do they mean it's harder to aim? There is no explicit information stating a weapon gains the inaccurate quality and as far as I know, IRL bullpups aren't worse than standard firearms. Is this "fluff"? In the Errata it states that you can use both hands to get full range, but mentions nothing about the "less accurate" text, leading me to believe that it is, in fact, fluff. ![]()
3. Could I argue that a weapon with both Compact and Pistol Grip could ignore the "less accurate" statement in order to retain a weapon's accurate quality.
4. Would this weapon be possible, ignoring the fact it is not completely "awesome". The reason for such effort is the clause in the Errata for Accurate stating "Basic weapon" which would exclude any pistols with the Accurate quality for getting extra damage, but I really want to use a pistol weapon in one hand for style.

Notes:
-20 to Search test to find this weapon on person.
You may fire this weapon with two hands and double its range.
You may fire this weapon in one hand without the normal -20 penalty to BS.
You gain +10 to your BS when firing a single shot from this weapon.
You gain an additional +10 to your BS when taking an Aim action before firing.
For every 2 degrees of success on the BS test, you gain +1d10 damage. (Max 2d10)
5. Why the restriction on Accurate pistols? The Carnodon "Hand Cannon" requires two handed use or receive a -10 BS penalty, has a short range compared to other Accurate weapons (other than the duelling pistols). It would seem you SHOULD be able to get the extra damage b/c duels are suppose to be deadly and the victor is the one with the highest initiative.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and respond, if anyone does. hehe
