Now that we know about Wave 9, announced at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham on all places, did FFG blow their load for the year? What's left for GenCon in August? (And what about Star Wars Celebration in July for that matter?)

Some burning questions for GenCon 2016:

• Will Wave 10 be announced (just 2 months after Wave 9)?
• Will Wave 9 be available as a show exclusive (scheduled to be released by 9/30)?
• Will Heroes of the Resistance be available as a show exclusive?
• Will there be a new Epic Ship?
• Anything else?

My Wave 10 predictions:

• U-Wing
• TIE Striker
• Scurrg H-6

I definitely expect a Scum Epic Huge ship to be announced before the end of the year.

We've seen pictures of boxed product from the UK expo so hopefully they have enough for early limited release at GenCon.

I'm thinking a Rogue One wave could be announced at Gencon.

Best guess is a Scum Epic reveal, or maybe Scum Aces. Rogue One ships probably won't show up until Force Friday (much like Ep 7 stuff last year).

• June 2: Wave 9

Why June 2 for Wave 9? There's no real significance to it. Why not wait a month to show it off in London or at GenCon (especially since it's not due until the end of Sept). But no, they picked June 2.

It stands to reason there might be something big brewing for these upcoming events—events where they made a big splash last year:

• July 15-17: Star Wars Celebration London (Last year: Wave 7)
• August 4-7: GenCon 2016 (Last year: Wave 8 and Gozanti)
• September 30: Force Friday 2016 (Last year: new core set)

TBF UKGE didn't actually reveal any new content, it showed off the miniatures. Whilst that's cool and all, it didn't actually reveal anything per se. We'd already seen the 3D models.

Star Wars Celebration Europe (FFG has to bring something substantial to the table to show what a good licensing partner they are to LucasFilm. But it probably won't be a wave of ships.) Possibilities:

• Scum Aces/Vets
• Rebel Vets
• Rogue Squadron
• Battery emplacements (like Turbo Lasers)
• Star Destroyer battle mat with 3d Weapon emplacements and objectives

GenCon 2016

• Wave 10 (doubtful)
• X-Wing ground attack (Hoth, etc)
• Or any of the already mentioned Star Wars Celebration possibilities

Force Friday

• Rogue One expansion packs

We won't get any Rogue One announcements until Force Friday again. GenCon is too early. I'd expect Wave 9 and Heroes on the shelf at the show, with a Wave 10 announcement and a Scum announcement, either an aces box or a huge ship.

I'm not so sure about that. FFG has already said that they've had more access to Rogue One than they did with TFA.

I think they have spoiled the HotR and wave 9 so they can sell some of them at Gencon. That's been the trend for the past 4 gencon's.

The UK has ceased to exist to me. After Scotland and N Ireland leave because of BREXIT the UK will really cease to exist.

Last year the Force Awakens stuff was kinda announced at Gen Con. At the In-Flight report they said they would have something to release on Force Friday. That kinda counts, right?

I think as big as the In-Flight Report and Gen Con have gotten, they will almost need to announce something at the event. Otherwise there may be a riot!

We probably won't leave. Sturgeon will make a lot of noise, we'll get devo max and everything will carry on as normal.

Don't really care what the Norn Irish do, but I suspect the Unionists would be up in arms (a very literal term for the Nirish) if Stormont put forward an effort to join the Republic... and they're not viable as an independent nation.

Hoping for Star Jewel with the Scyk packed in (and Jabba Crew who will do something amazing and board-wide like Palp but with a huge downside over and above taking up an entire YV), and Scum Aces with the StarViper and Kihraxz.

Games will be played and hearts will be broken.

Things will be bought and people will cosplay. Wave 9 will be on sale and small children will be given coffee and puppies if their parents let them run around.

Rogue 1 ships will be the next wave which will come out in Dec 1 week before the movie.

Something big coming? etc etc

Please stop making your expectation too high and then get disappointed!

I wonder now if it might be a campaign box like the Armada one.
