Because if the female is first, I can’t imagine how she could possibly have survived that pregnancy — not even long enough for the offspring to reach a stage of development that it could possibly have been viable after the emergency surgery to remove it.

It’s not the same as Peter Mayhew having sex with Bridget the Midget. They are both human beings, and just because one of them is unusually tall and the other one is unusually small, doesn’t mean that their child would necessarily be one or the other. Even then, simply because Bridget is so small would mean that she could have serious complications if she were to get pregnant — by anyone.

I use the EU/Legends version of Dathomir, Children that are born will be given one of the two species (most likely girls become the race of the mother, boys that of the father) no mixing, and the species have to be compatible...

I for my part can´t remember any Hybrid in cannon or legends.

(PS. In TCW on saleucimia, the clone "farmer" is NOT the biological father of the tw´lek children!)

I thought that didn't add up. Those kids are at least five years old, and that clone trooper couldn't have been there more than two, at the very, very most. Probably not even a full year yet.

Biologically, it would make no sense given one is mammal and the other is an arthropod, but the Kel Dor and Gand have a lot of similarities that I feel would make them a great match.

Both races have a reliance on respirators on oxygen-rich environments.

Both races have a strong relationship with a particular force tree (foresee for the Kel Dor and seek for the Gand). Furthermore, each of these trees represents a type of heightened awareness/extrasensory perception rather than the more physical force disciplines.

Both races are deeply spiritual and philosophical.

Both races are extremely secretive and slow to trust outsiders (for good reasons, I'll admit).

I imagine that if a Gand and a Kel Dor could ever get past their secretiveness (and maybe a little squick/body horror on the part of the audience), they'd have a strong foundation for friendship and possibly romance. It wouldn't make any sense for them to interbreed, but they could make a **** "cute couple" (given a rather broad definition of "cute").
