Need feedback on scum list

I thought about flying the Z close to the Y so that it gets a focus and target lock each time. Also it could strip tokens from attackers.

Mostly just wondering what people think. Any areas that could use improving or flat-out replacing?

Katoo doesn't strip enemy ships, he strips from friendly ships in range 1 to 2. So Katoo would end up with two focus and Kavil none, meaning Kavil couldn't fire his blaster turret.

Squad leader only works on ships with a lower PS. Katoo is your lowest pilot, so he'd never be able to use that ept.

Katoo would have a rough time trying to fly with an unhinged Kavil. Kavil should be circling with green hard banks keeping his target out of firing arc. If Kavil's target is in firing arc, you screwed up. You could fly Katoo along side Boba though...

A thought would be to attaini mindlink everyone. Then you would have the action economy you're trying to design. If you design everything right, Kavil could TL, boost (put engine upgrade on Kavil), and still have focus. Or he could TL and have two focus. Same type of shenanigans with Boba. Katoo flies in formation with Boba, every performs their one action, Boba takes a focus as his action. Katoo leaches the focus onto his own ship, which generates another focus for Boba. Katoo has two focus plus a tl. Kavil has TL and possibly two focus, and Boba has one Focus.

98 pts, 2-pt bid for Boba @PS10 or you can just add Glitterstim to his repertoire.

Kaa'to should really only be used on a Mindlink squad (to which Boba and Kavil are not the best recomendations) or for Deadeye ordnance (for which you don't have enough points). A Hot Shot Binayre will serve your aces much better as a blocking resource that attacks out of arc.

Boba and Kavil then become ace hunters.

@PS10 with Boost, Boba will always be at range 1 of whatever he wishes, putting that awesome ability to use. 4-LOM locks pesky evade tokens from aces to make sure those 4 red dice hurt as much as possible. If Glitterstim is there, pop it on a hot turn.

Kavil is just mean at almost any range. Keep the Z around him to avoid blocks from opposing ships while you navigate out of harm's way. R4 Agromech is superior to Marksmanship as dice mod in almost every way conceivable and costs a point less, while synergizing with BT. Deadeye is fundamental in your 4-dice attack synergy.

I like that second list, very nice work. I played with my list and put the mindlink on Fett and Kavil. It worked pretty well. Kavil took a cloaked Whisper out in two rounds of shooting. Fett dropped a pimped out Vader to half and killed a Prototype with the Zs help.

I'll try the second list tomorrow. I really like the look of it though.

I'd definitely listen to Genesis K on more traditional builds. I'm all about the shenanigans and the odd builds. Not that Genesis doesn't do shenanigans, I just don't run typical. I usually like his feedback. He'll direct you to a more competitive list.

I just have a soft spot for Boba (I'm pretty much the only player in my area who flies a Firespray). My current build with him actually runs ordnance, so I'm all about the shenanigans. It just wouldn't fit with a YZ support.

Played the revised list today. Completely wiped anot imperial aces list. Boba cleaned house. The Z even did well.
