Just bought a copy of this game and am busy working my way through the rules , until I can persuade another member of my local group to play has anybody any suggestions on solo play ( is it possible ?) .
Solo play ?
I was kinda hoping for that too, but it'd be might hard without devising some kind of "behavioral script". I was working on a scenario utilizing mostly enemy grunts with fixed patrol patterns and behaviors, but that's still in testing....
When I've played solo, I simply used story mode and just tried to keep both sides "on mission" with their particular objectives. Plan what each character will attempt to do during the game before you start and try not to get too caught up in specific tactical situations as they occur. That way you're playing more as an observer than an active participant, if this makes sense at all...
yea i have played it solo and really its no different than playing any other game by yourself, just make sure you dont have a preference for one side and play them as hard against each other as you would against an oponent
I'd think that playing an objective mode where each side races to get something might be more fun than a death match.
What's your city?
An idea to play in solo :
- Use the catacombs map or Deadalus map
- In the middle of the map, put a demon figure. p.ex.
- Choose one faction. Its mission its too kill the Demon (Death match)
- For the movements of the Demon : one dice with 10 faces and one “direction dice”. The demon will follow the arrows of the dispersion dice the better you can. If “cross”, it doesn’t move.
- The demon attacks if there is a figure is in a distance from one to four circles of the same path. It has no weapons but long tail and arms.
- Its characteristics are :
9 / 9 / 7 / 1D10
8/ 8 / 6 / 1 D10-1
7 / 7 / 5 / 1D10-2
6 / 6 / 4 / 1D10-3
4 /4 / 2 / 1D10-4
