The one thing I can't agree with you on is people playing meta. Sorry, but people should play what they like and how they like. If you don't want to play 100 on 100 where it will be super-efficient meta lists then run a store campaign or something where missions with objectives exist, then those 100 point lists will get UTTERLY shaken up.

I have to throw my vote in the bucket that Jumpmasters are far too cheap, which makes the T-65s seem awful in comparison.

They do seem to be the gravcents or eldar jetbikes of this game currently.

I love the T-65. I want more of them, not for the "fixes" they'll include, but for more pilots and astromechs and paint jobs.

X-wings in a mission format are actually not bad. Good firepower, good speed for escorts, medium price range and flexible.

Only when you go super-efficient for 100/100 dogfight are they beaten down by the rest, and even then that's less and less.

X-wings in epic aren't bad either.

These guys don't get it. The T-70 is a worse value proposition than the classic X-Wing! The Scout is not the best ship point for point, Soontir Fel, Vader and Poe are.

T-65s are in a tough spot, but you can fight that by building your list smartly. Wes Janson and Biggs Darklighter can form a solid foundation for a squad in todays meta. The other pilots are not as good, except for Tarn, who remains excellent.

I just want to fly Luke competitively. We haven't really had that opportunity since early 2014.

Well I set in my house and fix stuff because i am a super casual player and I fix stuff, most of my Star Brahs here know that.

But after watching the guys in this video and realizing the hate is real and VALID... it kinda shocked me. And here I have been saying "Don't Hate Gang". Now... nah you boys have the rite to hate some.

T-65s are in a tough spot, but you can fight that by building your list smartly.

The problem is, that while you can make T-65's work. They are a sub-par choice for the points. IA helps offset that issue some but they're still about a point less effective than other stuff.

That means unless you want T-65's for some reason, they're still a worse choice.

Everything here....except that X-wings are fantastic in Epic! They have good green dice to evade Turbo Lasers and shots at range. They are faster than Y-wings and B-wings. They are durable enough to withstand some shooting. They hit harder than A-wings. They can take Torpedoes, which are great in Epic. Whether it's Proton Torps or Ion Torpedoes, these guys can do so much. They don't cost that much for generics.

You know I am all about The Casual X-EPIC Play ... I am ****-near RPG'ing with these glorious ships in the game.

I agree with Heychadwick, in that X-wings are brill in epic, and yeah JBR7 you are into casual so you shouldn't care about the 100/100 tourney format because that is not the best format for casual play.

Only watched the first five minutes or so, but already I think these guys are way over reacting.

It's what I call being a "rumpus" (child hood friend nickname as he overer exaggerated everything)

While there are some valid points thus far, Biggs a wave 1 pilot still does pretty awesome

These guys mentioned that flying 4 scouts would be amazing and destroy just about anything, but I don't think so.

High agility ace squads would probably still tear them apart. Two attack dice will never get pass autothrusters and turtle up ships.

A 25 pts xwing vs a scout will come down to a few things.

If the xwing player is smart enough, with his rocks, and get the scout player to fly into it, he may stand a chance chance.

While the scout will only have two attack dice, the xwing will have 3, so at this point may come down to luck of the rolls.

Hell tarn with an r7 is 25 pts, and my money 1 vs 1 would be on tarn

I'm sorry but watching this video I don't think these guys are very knowledgeable and have a lot to learn about this game.

While everyone is entitled to throw own opinion, making a video with little knowledge can be misleading to new players, and I don't respect that

The scum firespray is not an awesome ship.

The way they made it sound, make it sound like it's in a good place. It's an OK ship. Better than others, and the imperial firespray is much worse

Listening to their discussion about his build for his next week game with vrill did not sound like a good build your me.

In fact watching this video I felt like I was watching a couple of noobs who have been playing for 3 months, but think they know everything there is to know about xwing.

I believe tarn with r7 would tear a scout apart.

They said multiple times that there is absolutely no reason to ever fly xwing again.

Really? Biggs is very strong in the right hands/list.

Tarn with r7 is still one of my favorite ships, and hoping for a 3 pt reduction cost on the xwing is wishful thinking.

And after 30 min of that guys voice, my stomach does not feel good.

The most wanted is not the best expansion pack.

Love how they said that, but then advice but first buy a HWKs,firespray and ywing.

I don't think that makes most wanted the best expansion if you have to buy 3 others to make it work

Not to get to **** snarky and elitists but X-EPIC IS STAR WARS... the regular 100 point game is ACE-CARD-WING.

It IS like that now... and that is why many of our Star Brothers who can not buy five plus of every ship to properly engage in X-EPIC are feeling the badness of the meta-game as it is.

There is no alternative for Biggs. It sucks that its just one pilot, but that pilot is incredibly strong. I have flown a bit of Kanan/Biggs and it is monstrous. For the same points he is equivalent to the Stresshog, with him being stronger against U-Boats and that being stronger against aces.

Wes Janson also is a unique border case because of U-Boats, there also is no ship quite like him. Thats debateable, though.

So again, be that force for change. offer to host mission based campaigns, even if using the generic missions.

It's what I really want to do, I do hope that GRB (my local FLGS) runs epic, I would be more than happy to bring my arsenal to a campaign. Up to and including the Pathfinder.
