What makes warhammer great!

By boggle2, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

In my view it was always the new stuff..

The first time you meet new monsters i remember the impact this had when the group ran into chaos for the first time....

Its this that needs to return in my view...

What i would suggest is that new creatures need to be brought out and new plot threads which i hope will come with the gathering storm campaign...

The new system is fantastic and the mechanics can greatly help this take the recent rat catchers small dog companion this is a great move...

Interacting with chaos should be very scary and leave the players talking about it.....

Hand outs were also fantastic in the early editions by the looks of things this is set to return to an even higher degree which i fully endorse.. A picture paints a thousand words....

Whats your thoughts.........

I always think the best way to bring this home is to have someone close to the PCs turn to chaos, either their employers, a family or mutual acquaintance

Its the grim dark atmosphere, the chance that you the player could at any moment fall into darkness or become cursed by fate. Its the zealous way in which mutants and heritics are seen as the enemy, pursued by the party and witch hunters, but the hunters may learn too much, or become tainted by chaos themselves and become the hunted. Its the grim investigations, the class boundries but most importantly imho its the dark humour that runs with the system that has me and my group in stiches for hours on end and keeps us comming back for more.
