THE RESULTS

This is a build I've been running for sometime now. Not in any conpetetive sense, but when I have the time to game. The build itself is not a complicated one. High damage, with a general answer for most targets. Kavil brings a lot of dice + rerolls, Palob snipes while cloaking and focusing. Leech stays near Palob to sap the extra focus and engage any Evade-Happy targets Kavil has trouble chasing. The double play of Palob sapping Focus and Leech taking Palobs stack isn't intended as a means of deliberate focus denial to opponents. It simply guarentees Kavil has a focus to spend if everything goes sideways and no one can focus. Playing the list in this manner has proven exceptionally successful. The drawbacks to this list are, unsurprisingly it's jaxk-of-all trades playstyle, and the necessity of having it's pilots in the right place at the right time.

Above all, however, is just how fun this list is actually to play.

Are you looking for suggestions?

If so, RecSpec/Moldy Crow is a bit overkill, you're not packing Blaster Turret. Drop the title and switch RecSpec with Dengar for actionless modifications (and freeing yourself from ever taking a TL). The Mindlink guarantees focii and you have Kaa'to as a natural engine, in case things go wrong. Still on Palob, unless Stygium is proving itself vital to Palob's survival, which I doubt, I'd give him Engine Upgrade to make his (dis)engagement as efficient as possible.

Other than that, any torpedo on Kavil would do wonders as a scare tactic. But the list already works as it is.

I would leave the title for Leeachos' shenanigans, but I agree with the suggestion of Dengar over RecSpec. Take it slow to gather a couple foci in the beginning, and let stealing/Mindlink take it from there. Dengar's re-rolls plus your focus stack should make super accurate TLT shots.

Leeachos guarantees a focus through the link to whoever he steals from and you don't gain focus tokens if you already have them. That's why I find the title unnecessary. And freeing up 3 pts is huge on such a list.

Correct, however as long as he's near enough to the Crow, it doesn't matter if Kavil does a K-turn, Palob and Leeachos both bump, and Palob has no one to steal from all in the same turn: as long as Leeachos pulls a focus off the Crow, everyone still gets one.

Just remember that you cannot k-turn more than one mind linked ship per turn. But otherwise your point is of cause still valid.

I'd argue that if it has come to this point, one's either flying this list insanely wrong or this is a lost game already.

Either way, the argument is solid. But I'd work those 3 pts elsewhere.
