Grats on the win man! Sorry I was so pissed after our game (Sam from game two), I'm just still kicking myself over the side I chose to deploy my demo at. Had I chosen your open side and not allowed myself to get killed by that stinkin raider the game could have gone totally differently. Ultimately I was out flown and the better pilot won the day. Congrats again dude!
No worries at all and glad we had a couple of people show up from of town to attend! You had a nice list using Tarkin and Glads with the Fireball. I knew from a prior hyperspace assault game that I had to be careful to make sure I kept those tokens covered with my Raiders or my front line would get blown to pieces. It definitely takes a good amount of luck to win any of these tournaments!
I want to know what happened to the person who tried to run 3 VSD.
I'm still very much a n00b and am trying to make the Wave 1 ships work for me (Amazon was having a sale a few weeks back - got a copy of every wave 1 ship plus what's in the core)
I would of liked to have played him and see how my list does against his. His fighter wing wouldn't have been able to do too much against me with the non bomber blue die but I'm sure he would have just sat in a corner making me come at him. He had tractor beams and APT's on all of his Vics so it would have been interesting that's for sure. He had 2 5/5 games after using a bye in round one, mainly due to the lists he faced, 1 Rieeken aces list and the 3 Glad Fireball. If someone doesn't come after your Vic's it can be a very low scoring game or a draw.
