Reinforce v. Juke

By theninthguardian, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Epic Play question here:

The Reinforce action states:

the reinforce token adds one evade result to its defense roll

Juke states:

...you may change one of the defender's evade results to an eyeball...

So, I'm asking just to be sure, but it looks like Juke would negate Reinforce. Any reason it wouldn't?

In general, dice modifications only happen in the relevant Modify Dice steps (unless the Epic rules change that in ways I'm unaware of) so the Reinforce token would add it's Evade result during the Defender Modifies Defence Dice step which comes AFTER the Attacker Modifies Defence Dice step. So Juke happens first, and if there are no Evade results for it to work on at that stage, it does nothing.

The Reinforce Token's evade result is immune from Juking.

Attacker modifies defender's dice then defender modifies his own dice. Juke already went off since it happens during HIS modification, otherwise you could technically juke a focused evade (which is suppose to counter juke to begin with) on normal ships.

Reinforce adds 1 evade to the result, and since it doesnt have the "upon rolling" stipulation that means it happens when he would normally mod his dice - i.e. after Juke.
