n00b question. So let me apologize up front as I am sure everyone is tired of seeing on here...

Just want a basic example of how force leap works.

How I am understanding it........and using the character I created skills.

I use my athletics(2 green, 1 yellow) and add 1 Force die to this check.

I get 2 lightside force results. I can use 1 force result to gain a success or an advantage result AND use 1 force to use a force Jump.

Am I understand this correctly?

Not quite. In the Control upgrade for Force Leap it says: "Make an Enhance Force Power check" a Force Power check is only rolling Force Dice. No skill check is required.

For the Force Leap Action you only roll your Force Dice, then you may spend one pip rolled to activate the basic Leap, with an extra pip you can increase the range if you have the range upgrade purchased. Basically no matter what you will always be able to leap, you can't fail, so long as your willing to use Dark Side pips on occasion.

You *could* fail if you have overdrawn the Destiny pool and don't have a Light side point to flip. This shouldn't happen too often, but I've seen it a few times in FaD games.
