Meta is a word I first (and last) read on the X-Wing forum. Must be an FFG thing.

I get the ships I like and learn how to use them. Then I fly them together. Don't care about the latest must have list. Because it will be replaced by the next must have list.

Actually 40k is probably the only game I've ever played where meta talk wasn't a thing. Shoot i remember reading meta discussions of various competitive games in the gaming magazines back in the late 90s

Lol, what? 40k and WFB were the meta games. You either played the only good list (ie. what was the most OP combo at the moment) or lost horribly.

I may be having a slight wording error. You're definitely right, 40k you played one of the unbalanced lists or lost, but i didnt apply the term "meta" because you played those lists regardless of what other people were playing.

The closest I ever got to playing 40k was a copy of Rogue Trader. Glad I never got into the minis themselves. Wow that was a long time ago.

I like seeing people that I KNOW are negatives with their bottom lips dragging jump to like a post that was attempting to attack me or one of MY Boys and you look at their LIKES Rate... and it is under 500, but they have been here for years.

For instance I have been playing since wave two but have a very low post count.

I have already seen JB7 in this thread demean someone's comments because they are not in the thousands.

The quality of the comment not the quantity is what I look for.

I don't watch cable tv either... but most people don't now. The deference is that I stopped back in 2006'ish.
