200 pts game, 150 x 90 ctms game surface. Just to try it, 6 FS-31 vs 4 X and 3 ordnance heavy Y Wings. An interesting game. My opponent played very well in the opening stages and hit me hard with Plasma torps. But no FS shoot down, that 10 hits are very hard. Since the start of the game my plan was to ignore the Ys and hit the X. Midgame... 3 X wings wiped out and one badly damaged. 3 FS 31 wiped out but fresh 3 more remaining. The surviving X hit me hard damaging two FS 31. But the Y were quite helpless, two Reds vs 2 Greens... The Y received a pounding, and after 90 minutes of play it was over.
Against first waves ships the 33 pts FS 31 is a quite good tool. 200 pts of Agi 2 ships, 60 hit points, and 18 red dices. Large bases can harm you because in a 90 x 90 surface it will be very cramped.
Long Range Scanners in the Y were VERY good to boost the first round of salvoes
