Is the interaction here still only a single focus???

Doesn't recon specialist say when you perform the focus action and not just receive a focus?

If you have a ship with Recon Specialist, you will assign an extra token to that ship. Each other friendly ship with Attanni Mindlink will only receive 1 token. If it already has a focus token, then it will not receive another one.

So Recon Specialist doesn't assign two token to every ship with the Attanni Mindlink.

Two things can happen depending on PS order:

RecSpec moves first, takes the Focus action, gains 2 focus tokens, other Mindlinked ship gains 1. Then other Mindlinked ship moves, takes the focus action, gains 1 token, RecSpec gains no extras. Net effect: RecSpec has 2, Mindlink has 2.

Mindlink moves first, takes the Focus action, gains 1 token, RecSpec gains 1. RecSpec moves, takes the Focus action, gains 2 tokens, Mindlink gains none. Net effect Mindlink has 1, RecSpec has 3.
