Liberty point cost

By Lochlan, in Star Wars: Armada

I think 94 and 106

Okay change my 101 high bid to 107, but I don't see that 12 point gab happening...

*glares at vsd-2*

Okay missed that, could only remember the 10 pts gab for the ISD. :)

97 and 107. Speed 3.

It has 1 more shield than a VSD, has 1 more red die (which we know are valued high), Anti-squadron (black so likely black blue for the Battle Carrier) oh and it is a Battle Cruiser.

Battles Cruisers were named such because they sacrifice armor (and shields in this game) for speed, so instead of being an Assault Cruiser which is a brawler, the MC80 Liberty is likely a fast pace maneuverable (ISD chart) ship. The ISD is what we would consider a Battleship. Great armor (hull) good shielding, and packs a PUNCH!

105-115 speed 2

I reckon 96 points and speed 3. Well the latter is more of a hope really, speed 2 would suck.

My guess is 105 for the Battle Cruiser and 97 for the other one (Support Cruiser?).

It will go speed two with the ability to ET.

I agree with those that see this as a tricked out VSD2: One more red die out the front. An extra click at speed 2. The extra brace (which i believe will end up being a HUGE strength.) One less squadron but better Anti squadron fire.

I'll play ...

110 for the "B" that is shown

102 for the "A" that is unknown

Speed 3

98 and 106. Speed 2.

I will bet money that the cheap version of this ship is sub 100

...

To add to my earlier bid of ridiculousness:

...

You have no idea how much I'll be laughing, if the second version is: "MC80 Experimental Testbed" and contains an Experimental Retrofit slot, too....

The best part of waking up is wild speculation on a forum.

That said, I am guessing...

111 and 99 for pts

speed 3

Perhaps different speed charts and different upgrade slots may exist between the two? The current MC80 has different upgrade slots for its two versions, so why not?

WAG: 97 speed 2

SWAG (scientific wag): 105 speed 3, no support team

I'm betting both variants will be something between 100- 110 points. Love one of theses coming in at 100, if it's the case I can Definatly see two of these hanging lose with an MC80 command, 3 x wings, jan and the the big D in command.

100 for my high please

I'd bet there are FFG guys hanging out watching this unfold on dummy accounts and snickering at our failure to guess the right cost.

Hey FFG make it interesting! Free Liberty to who gets it right!

Righto, everything's good'n added, all!

Gotty, you know that'd be awesome. It'll be Dras that nailed it, right? :P

Hmm, should we put up something for the Interidictor? I dinnae, I'm having fun with this guessing game at least.

The "problem" with guessing the Interdictor's cost like this is that we know how much one of them costs already. Granted, we don't know if it's the more expensive one or not, but it still gives us a pretty good ballpark.

Greater then 1 less then 400.

Do I win a cookie?

1 experimental slot or 2?

Speed 2? or 3! (definitely speed 2 imo)

does the other version have Blackdice or More Red dice!

bad questions?

Exactly, that was my reservation as well, we know the suppression is 90 points, but we don't know if it's more or less expensive, and we don't know the other. So, the question is going to be about the other factors: how many refits, speed, the other version, and which is more expensive of the two. But it's still binary thus not quite as fun. But it's something. Certainly something for the future too!

wild predictions for the Imperial Admiral?

as a side note i was building 2 1000 point movie "accurate" Battle of endor fleets. based solely on the movies and there was like 3-4 rebel commanders that were there (including madine) Ackbar was admiral as he was clearly in charge during the battle and then i went to pick the imperial and literally 0 of them were actually there. like i almost put screed in charge simply because he was the only commander that we dont know WASN'T there since vader was in the D-Star and all the other guys are dead...

Tagge was most probably there.

He was Grand General of the Empire at that point.

We just don't know when he does now, if he dies, as he was officially Retconned as being the one who left the first Death Star to check on Dantooine. And thus, Survived.
